Thank you for your kind comments about us and the property. We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and seeing the deer eating pears by the pool is always special! We’re also happy we were able to assist quickly whenever you contacted us. We’re sorry the pool did not feel warm enough during your stay. The pool heater was on and set high; however, nighttime temperatures dropped to 54 degrees when you were here  in September. Because this is a large outdoor pool, its temperature is affected by the weather and it cannot heat—or recover from a cold night—as quickly as a hot tub. We do keep the hot tub covered and hot available for guests who prefer warmer water, particularly during cooler weather. There is a permanent floodlight specifically for the pool area, along with lighting on the patio, porches, front yard, around the exterior, and throughout the home. Instructions for the lighting are included in our welcome guide, and we are always available by text if a guest needs help locating a switch or operating anything at the property. We also provide Native Brand shampoo and conditioner, wrapped individual soap, and baskets of additional travel-size toiletries in the bathroom cabinet above the towels. The kitchen does have a can opener in the utensil and gadget drawer, as well as cooking oil, spices, condiments, coffee, tea, and first-day basics. We take pride in maintaining a very well-stocked kitchen with cookware, bakeware, quality knives, and many other cooking essentials. We truly wish we had known you were unable to locate these items, as we would have been happy to point you in the right direction immediately. For clarification regarding privacy, our residence is located elsewhere on our more than 40-acre property. We do not enter or visit the rental portion of the property unless guests contact us and request assistance. During this stay, we came over only in response to requests from the guest. We appreciate the feedback and are glad that, overall, you found the property beautiful and serene. We will also use these comments as an opportunity to make the locations of these amenities even clearer for future guests.

Sharon agreed to our contract that says: "6. Access Guest shall allow Homeowner and maintenance people access to the property for purposes of grounds and pool maintenance and repairs. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner." We always strive to respect our guests' privacy and comfort. In this case, our gardener introduced herself and politely asked for permission before proceeding with light, non-intrusive manual trimming—well away from the pool area and without the use of any power tools.
