Relaxing Lake Family Getaway

Our family vacation was wonderful and the house was perfect and stocked with everything we needed. Mary Ann was a wonderful host and very responsive! She gave us some restaurants to try and activities. We appreciated being able to keep our boat at the dock too. Would definitely recommend to others!

Cherokee Lake House

The property was nicely situated on Cherokee Lake with a dock. We went swimming and kayaking. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We had beautiful views overlooking the lake, and there was a great covered porch. We enjoyed our stay!

Excellent Lake Trip

What a great house, doesn’t look that big but when you get inside lots of space, 4 bedrooms, two full baths! Great water views! Family loved the fishing! We will definitely return for friend’s trip and another family trip. Patricia

Great Lake House

The house is very clean and comfortable. It is reasonably close to Lakeside Marina where you can rent a boat. We had a great time and highly recommend this house to others.

Great house, great location on the lake, beautiful views of the water out the living room and two of the bedroom windows. Great back porch with good furniture and gas grill. Everything we needed in kitchen was there, house was clean and has great space. Beds were very comfortable and indoor furniture was nice and comfortable. TV was also great. Great location for fishing with a boat. But we also caught bass from the dock.Reasons I didn't give five stars, the driveway and entry road is very tight to get a boat in and out. The mailbox and ditch at driveway make it impossible to get boat trailer in and out without getting into the neighbors yard. It's also a considerable distance to a public boat launch. Working out an option to use one of the close by campground boat ramps would be very helpful. Also the first hall bathroom shower head is terrible, it's functional but not good. A covered boat dock with power to charge batteries would be a great addition.

Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a great time, and the house was perfect for 6 adults and 4 children. We had stayed at this house last year with friends and family, so we booked it ourselves this year. We liked the house layout, the dock for our boat and swimming. The house was very clean and had wonderful views. Would definitely rent again.

We absolutely loved this place, very affordable and extremely clean. Very helpful and kind neighbors. Everything you could possibly need for a lake trip with family. We will absolutely be back next year! Thanks so much!

Very Nice Home!

The property was very nice inside and out! Beautiful location! The neighbor's dog likes to do his business on your lawn on a daily BTW but it didn't affect us unless we are charged for having a pet on the property, LOL :)

House and experience was good. House was clean, location was good.Constructive criticism:1. In the sign in book there was a complaint from 2022 about no light on the back porch for cooking after dark. That has not been addressed and it is very dark at night. I suggest replacing ceiling fans with ones that have a light built in.2. The walk down to the dock is dangerous. Once off the grass, you go down a set of stairs that have very shallow step treads and are not level. Then you have a very long step down onto 2 cinder blocks. The blocks are not level, nor stable. It is a long step even for someone 6' tall. Then another cinder block to step onto dock that is not stable or level. Coming back up the grass yard with wet feet is also dangerous due to the slope. This would be inaccessible for anyone older or not in good physical shape. Also, the dock has a healthy wasp population that is problematic.3. Depending on your stay length, if you want more than 1 towel and washrag per person, you will need to provide your own.4. Some pots and pans were found dirty.5. Bring plenty of your own dishwasher soap, we found none.6. There are 2 small trash cans outside and if you have more trash than that, you are directed to transport it to the county dump. Not cool for the of stay. Trash cans should at least be full sized. We stayed 3 days, both were full at the end.7. No contact from guest contact until day of. Evolve host contact is via AI. Had to ask for check in instructions.

We’re glad you found the home clean, enjoyed the location, and had a good experience overall. The porch light had recently stopped working and is being replaced. Seasonal lake-level changes controlled by TVA can affect the transition to the dock, and the listing notes these fluctuations and shows the sloped yard. Towels were provided based on the reservation, with additional supplies available upon request. The home also includes a washer, dryer, detergent, dish soap, dishwasher pods, trash bags, and cleaning supplies. Check-in instructions are sent before arrival, and we’re always happy to help address concerns during a stay. We appreciate the feedback and remain committed to providing a comfortable, well-prepared experience.

Slightly disappointed

The house was great and had everything we needed. We brought our boat and the closest boat ramp was a 15 min drive on land and about 20 in the water to get to the house, so that was a bit disappointing and not really disclosed on the listing. The ramp in the pictures shown is the neighbors and can't be used.

Great location

This cute place sits right on the lake. Beautiful views, quiet. Nice touches: Love the basket of cozy blankets; Game cabinet was a great surprise; Microwave is adorable!; Decor is excellent; Furniture in living room is comfy! Could use some end tables or ottoman for tv watching. When you go on vacation, you want all the comforts of home. This place fell short is just a few areas. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, unless you like really firm, or really springy. We ended up buying a mattress topper for our stay. The hot water pressure is very low, so showering was a challenge getting shampoo out. There were some minor housekeeping issues, but didn’t affect our overall stay. Evidentially in spring, the lake level is lowered, so enjoying the water wasn’t an option. Would I come back? With better beds, yes!

We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced during your stay.- The beds are the highest-rated beds we could buy based on other host recommendations. While we understand that personal preferences vary, we're sorry if they didn't meet your expectations.- As for the lake level, Tennessee Valley Authority lakes adjust their water levels for flood control purposes. While the lake may be lower during the winter months, it's still accessible for use. However, some private docks are out of the water during this time. At our location, the dock is typically in the water from mid to late March until around mid-October. Thank you once again for sharing your review with us. Beautiful location

Really awesome things: location! Views were incredible. Loved being able to kayak off the dock and we did frequently. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. Liked having a full size washing machine and dryer. Someone else mentioned water pressure problems but we thought it was fine. The place is very tastefully decorated. Shops were only 15 minutes away. Has Netflix and fun board games. We left some playing cards for future guests. Things to improve: There were drain flies in the bathrooms and therefore all around the house. They were everywhere! Cleanliness: The floors, linens, sinks, and toilets were clean, but the fans, baseboards and windows were very dusty. Tons of bugs in the windowsills and screens. I get that it’s the south, but a vacuum to the closets, sliding door tracks, and windowsills would go a long way. The piles of dead bugs in the bathroom on the side of the sink and toilet were unsightly but we swept them up with a broom. Also, there’s no driveway and after a rainstorm there were a lot of puddles and mosquitoes. We had a great time though and the property manager was very polite and responsive. When the toilet wasn’t working, she sent someone right up and he fixed it that day. Also, the AC unit wasn’t working right when we arrived and she offered to have someone fix that (we just left it set to 72). Cherokee Lake is an amazing place and this house was good value to house a big group (5 adults and 2 kids).

I had my family and my sister‘s family. We had plenty of room. Wish we had more time to spend at the house at the lake. We did get to use our boat a few days great fishing on Cherokee Lake. It was nice seeing the sunrise every morning. We plan on renting again and spending more time on the lake.

Nice place

This was a nice place to stay. If you have a large group, it is well worth the money! The view is great, the indoor space is great, and the neighborhood is quiet. It does have low water pressure, but it was sufficient. I tried messaging them during the week and on the day of check-in, but no one responded. I would recommend this property to a large group that enjoys lake access.
