Both good and bad aspects of this place. It is very budget friendly and seven blocks from main tourist areas. Bed and sheets are very comfortable. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned, therefore we considered the common areas mostly unusable. The AC is incredible, cooling the BR in minutes so it can be shutoff when going out. The shower was substandard, water pressure seemed to be only gravity drained. Water temperature was very hot -- when you realized that you had to turn on the hot water tank at arrival (flip a switch). On day 3, we ran out of water, you need to periodically fill a cistern, again another switch. If you overfill it, it'll drain over the clothesline. Pool was comfortable temperature all times of the day, insects not a problem. Outdoor table would be a nice place for a cup of coffee -- provided you brought your own, none was provided. Neither was any shampoo, other than what previous guests left behind. Didn't expect much for amenities, but some things you just think are basic staples. Hammocks are great and something we miss when staying in more modernized places. Only 1 TV, located in bedroom, not that we watched it. Kitchen seemed well stocked with cookware, but we didn't use it. Refrigerator was full size. Internet was sketchy, but resetting was easy. Property manager promptly returned messages via WhatsApp, but not all that proactive other than 'read the welcome book'. Good for short term, but cant consider the place viable for a long bterm stay.
