Great place to stay near Great Falls

The place was well appointed and unique. It is right on the river with a large raised patio overlooking the river. The beds are comfy and the whole place was very clean and well kept. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. There are small TVs but no family or living rooms to speak of. The kitchen was the main focal point of the common area and had a large island for dining at.

Missouri River retreat

We had a great time at this river front home. My wife, sister in law, niece, German shepherd and myself stayed here during western art week. Awesome location and amazing view overlooking the river from everywhere in the house. It’s about a 15 min drive into Great Falls but a nice drive and easy to get to and from. House has everything you need and is very family oriented. I hope to be back next year.

Good location, great hosts!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location is centrally located and gives opportunity to explore many different parts of the state. The home offered spaces for all of our guests with private rooms and bathrooms for all. The kitchen is beautiful but if I’m completely honest it could have been better equipped with better knives and pots and pans. If you don’t plan on doing much cooking while on vacation then this is probably a non issue for you. The beds are comfortable and have good bedding on them. Marva and Larry are great hosts and very nice folks. You won’t be disappointed.

Art Show Reprieve

My wife, sister in law, niece, dog and myself stayed from 3/15-3/19. I was a participating artist at one of the Art shows going on at Great Falls for western art week and we were fortunate enough to find this fantastic home with awesome hosts. If you like serenity this is where to go. The home is well appointed with everything you need. Beautiful sun rises and sunsets from the walls or glass looking out in the Missouri River just 30 ft from the deck. I’d definitely return and hopefully will have this home for next years show.

Owner sucks

Had property booked for several weeks. On checkin day we could not get ahold of owner for the access code. When we finally did make contact they refused to let us in stating that they did not want to book it out over the holidays. It created a major inconvenience for my family and young girls durning Christmas. Owner was not good.

EPIC VRBO experience!

The online description is paltry compared to the wonders that await you at this property. First off, the house is GREAT. Tons of space, well stocked for long stays and home cooking, lots of outdoor space and on a lovely section of the river. Beds were comfortable, the place was clean. Second, the location is well situated near the city, but still out in the country. Lots of wildlife, beautiful sunsets! Lasts, the hosts are INCREDIBLE. Ok, we've stayed at a lot of home rentals via AirBNB and VRBO, and we've never had hosts quite like this. Larry is the homeowner, and he's the wonderful, eccentric grandfather that you always wanted! He was so wonderful to show our family around this VERY unique property, and gave us a lesson in architecture and geology at the same time! He is a champion boat racer and generously took us on the boat ride of our lives! To top off our stay, he took us in a ride in a Korean War era truck up to a waterfall for sunset pictures and a beautiful view! If you just want a place to crash for a night on the way through, go to a hotel. But if you want a DESTINATION and some of the most fascinating conversations of your life, check out this place, and have a chat(or 20) with Larry!

Would stay here again, but not for the price we paid

I was looking to rent out of town a bit, the location was perfect. Did not know we were staying in a "boat house". This made the layout a bit awkward, but it was nice. Was not informed that there was change of ownership and construction going on within the property until 2 days before. Did not change our plans, but one of the bathrooms was challenging to use. I would stay here again, but not for the price we paid. Plus, I left an item behind (garmin watch), making multiple attempts to contact homeowners, no return contact. I think I just gave them a very expensive watch.

Beautiful Home & Property Outstanding Hosts

The home was clean with beautiful views of the Missouri River right out the back door. The rural setting lets you enjoy the deer, pheasant, turkeys and waterfowl in peace and quiet. The back desk is not only good for the wildlife viewing, but is also a great place to listen to the river flow by. The hosts are also amazing people. They noticed we had not arrived a few hours after check in and checked to make sure we were okay. We had hit some weather, and they stayed up and made sure we arrived safely. If you want a nice place to stay that is run by amazing people, this is the spot to stay in Great Falls!

Great place

We loved staying here with our pets. Only thing is that we wished we were staying longer. Marva and Larry were excellent hosts and were available when we had questions.

Great place with awesome character

Great property, literally steps away from the River. Beautiful views! The home slept the 4 of us comfortably! We cooked all our meals for the weekend at the house, and had everything we could have needed. Quirky character, but awesome stories about how the place came to be. Hopefully you get lucky and have Larry take you on his tour of his property. Pretty neat place!

Unique get away

We loved our time on the Missouri river. Our hosts were wonderful and I would highly recommend spending time at this unique home away from home.

Getaway

We enjoyed our stay. The property was perfect for us and each bedroom had its own bathroom. My granddaughter enjoyed the water and the wild life that came into the yard. It was an enjoyable time.

beautiful riverside home

The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay an amazing experience that we will always remember! Our family including two teen boys enjoyed playing on the river, exploring the beautiful surroundings and then coming back to prepare and enjoy a meal in the beautiful, well appointed kitchen/greatroom with soaring ceilings and gorgeous views from every room. With three bedrooms with plenty of room to spread out, we also got to have some chill time. We look forward to coming back again!

Great family stay

Great river house

Overall great house. Great space for kids and pets outside. Each room has its own bathroom, with a common bathroom off the kitchen as well. We really enjoyed our stay here. Couple of things I wish I would have known: 1. No cell service for Verizon or AT&T - however great Wi-Fi 2. Really no living room. Our family likes to relax in the morning with coffee and TV. There were six of us and there really is not much of a living room. Overall we loved it. The hosts were amazing and helped immediately when there was a problem with the house, as they live right next door. Thanks so much for having us!

Weekend Get Away

My wife and I needed a weekend away to reset. This place was fantastic for that, the hosts were super accommodating and made sure that they were ready to pull out all the "bells and whistles" for our stay. Should our journey ever lead back to cascade county we plan on staying here

Peaceful & cozy

We desired a little more space to sprawl out and cook during a quick weekend visit to Great Falls. It was an oasis located not far from our activities in the center of the city. Great fit!

Wonderful Home!

The home was absolutely lovely and clean. We were in town for a funeral, so did not use the amenities, but it was a warm inviting place to stay and the host was very kind and greeted us upon our arrival. Would stay again!
