The property was beautiful and a great place for a 5 person family reunion. Late August was a perfect time to visit since we could spend time outside on several decks or in the gardens. The kitchen was large and very well stocked. Good accessability to West and North Vancouver. We absolutely enjoyed Carmelos restaurant. Keep in mind traffic for the Lion's Gate Bridge gets way backed up. The Seabus is a better option for getting into Vancouver.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Larry and Sherry’s communication straight from booking was wonderful, both are friendly and easy going and their communication very thorough. We were met at the property by Larry and Sherry to give us a show round and pass over the keys, they made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. Every detail had been thought of. The location is beautiful and close to lots of tourist spots, with downtown Vancouver just a short drive away. I’d recommend Larry and Sherry’s property to anyone visiting Vancouver.

Beautiful, well maintained home on a quiet cul de sac. Plenty of space for 7 people, including our 3 children, and very conveniently located. The house is quite immaculate and filled with antiques, which was rather stressful with 3 kids. Many wood tables with notes about leaving water marks from glasses, so we had to be extra careful with kids. Probably more suitable for adults.

Great stay! The hosts were very welcoming. Excellent neighborhood very peaceful along with creek running thru the backyard couldn't ask any better. Only 15 minutes away from the ocean side. Highly recommend this location, Spacious home with the traditional vancouver vibe and modern kitchen

Perfect location for a family with young kiddos with great access to parks and outdoor sights; home itself is beautiful and great for families.

Beautiful house! Beautiful property we had 5 adults and there was lots of room for everyone and no one was “ tripping” over each other. Sherry and Larry were very attentive and quick to respond to any question or need that we had.

We had a wonderful stay in Larry and Sherry’s beautifully decorated home, surrounded by elegant designs and the peaceful sounds of nature. Listening to the birds and the gentle stream, along with the fresh scent of the garden, made it feel like a serene camping retreat. It was truly memorable to be immersed in the beauty of the trees and flowers. Thank you for sharing such an amazing place!

Delightful stay

We had a wonderful stay in West Vancouver. Larry and Sherry welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house. Although the online pictures are very nice, their home is even nicer in person. They take very good care of the house both inside and out. It is clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The location is very convenient.

My family (two adults, three kids) stayed here for a week and a half while visiting Vancouver. In terms of location for what we were focused on (primarily North and West Vancouver along with a day trip to Squamish and the ferry out of Horseshoe Bay; less focus on Downtown), the home could not be beat. Just off of the trans Canada highway between North and West Vancouver, with easy access to the highway and Lion's Gate bridge. Short drives to Capilano, Grouse Mountain, Shipyards, Deep Cove, Ferry Terminal. Nearby outdoor mall for groceries and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very private despite it's central location. In terms of the home itself, it worked for us, but is probably better for adults or families with older kids as other reviewers have mentioned. There are quite a few breakables throughout the house that guests need to be careful of; there is a large (4-5ft) cactus in the stairwell that you pass each time you go from the main level to the bedrooms; the upstairs gets very warm during the summer and open windows are necessary to cool things down, but unfortunately screens are not common in Vancouver, so with open doors/windows do come some biting bugs. The beds are quite soft, so probably not a fit for stomach and side sleepers. Sherry and Larry were great hosts; they provided lots of information in a welcome booklet and were responsive to any of our questions.

Delightful West Vancouver Retreat

We had a wonderful time exploring West Vancouver, Vancouver, Whistler and Victoria from this lovely property. Check in was easy and any communication with Larry and Sherry was prompt and helpful. Loved the location as it was easy access to downtown and highways to explore the area but the property was quiet and secluded. A beautiful home equipped with everything needed for a delightful stay. Huge entertainers kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms and lovely gardens to enjoy. Couldn't ask for more!

Great home to relax and recharge

Pros: * Huge home with plenty of space for the whole family. * Quiet and safe neighborhood. * Food provided on arrival (enough for a quick breakfast) was a nice touch. * Very close to grocery stores & shopping mall making it easy to stock up the fridge. Cons: * Traffic to/from Vancouver can be busy at times. Overall, great hosts and a great home.

Amazin vacation house I've ever been.

I've got so many vacations house from the other websites, but this was my first time I got through Vrbo. Let's talk about the house. Honestly before we arrived I thought either the pictures were fake, but when we arrived I was shocked, the house was absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. Larry and his amazing wife, they had everything ready, clean house all the things that you need to cook and staying there. She gave us tour and showed us everything. Easy to communicate with them. We already told them we will come back again for next year. Thank you for everything

This house was a very lovely home and well stocked. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to do for cooking. There are a variety of spices and oils available to use for cooking. Sherry is so nice and leaves some eggs, coffee pods, cream, bread, butter and some yummy homemade jelly for you to help kick start your first morning there. She also left a list of nearby grocery stores. There is definetly enough places to sit and enjoy meals at.There is a basement with a lot of games to play and a TV. If traveling with kids the downstairs TV has Disney on it that you can log into for them to watch as well as YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. The upstairs TV has YouTube, Netflix (which is signed in to and you can use while there via the guest profile) as well as Amazon Prime and some TV channels. We did really appriciate the backyard, books, and games provided as we has a 3 and 5 year old in our party so it helped keep them entertained.We utalized the provided box fans to help keep the bedrooms cool as it does get warm in the summer time there. Also be aware that in Vancourver it is not common to have screens on the windows. We had the windows open whenever we were in the house and daytime was fine we didn't get flies, bees, or any bugs in the house. At night we did get a decent amount of moths and crane flies in that we would catch and release back outside. I would highly recommend this home and would definetly rent again in future Vancourver trips.

Family trip

Lovely spacious home in an excellent neighborhood. Beautiful gardens and easy access to shops, restaurants and beaches. Traffic over Lions Gate bridge challenging at times, but expected. Well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. For us as a family with small children a few concerns were steep drop at bottom of garden down to creek, numerous ornaments and antiques within reach of little hands! Also be aware there are no coverings on bathroom windows. Sherry assured us that neighbours cannot see because of trees, but I still felt uncomfortable as I could see neighbours in their house and our family in the garden. Overall a lovely property but probably better suited to families with older children.
