Mountain Condo located in the Grand West Village Resort, this 2 bed, 2 bath makes for a great getaway!

The Space:
This cabin has been carefully renovated with every detail considered. On the main floor you will find a full kitchen, cozy living room and 1 queen bedroom with full bathroom. Upstairs is a sleeping loft with 2 twin beds and 3/4 bathroom. There is a fabulous southwestern facing porch with views of Mt. Elbert.

About the name Southpaw: In the early 1880’s Eric Jones found a lost mine. His method was unique and unscientific, but somehow he found the mine by dropping matchsticks every half mile and traveled in the direction they pointed. He rushed back to camp and told his partners of a big find. The team immediately set out to retrace Eric’s footsteps. With Jones leading, the group rode through a canyon until a sudden rockslide knocked Jones from his horse. When he came to he couldn’t remember his friends, where he was, or the location of the mine.

There’s no end to the outdoor activities you can enjoy here, from mild scenic hikes to ultra-athletic pursuits, and we’re not limited by season. Head out on a fall colors bike ride, ski or snowshoe, go fly fishing, or climb the fourteeners! And as for the great indoors, we have plenty of restaurants, shops and historical attractions.

Getting Around:
Leadville is a very walkable city, driving to downtown is recommended from Grand West Resort. Downtown leadville has lots of street parking and public parking areas.

Altitude sickness is real. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. We cannot offer refunds for guests experiencing altitude sickness. If you anticipate being affected, we recommend obtaining insurance at the time of booking.
