Even after 1 year the place is still amazing. It even snowed the last night we were there. Such a relaxing holiday.

Lovely for a weekend getaway

Our group had a lovely time at the house. The kitchen is well outfitted and the house stays warm in the middle of winter with stunning views, privacy and comfort built in. Would recommend for a weekend getaway.

Hillside Paradise

I would have slept in a shed for that view, but instead enjoyed all the amenities of this fine, well-appointed property. Will definitely be back. The view over the valley is not too be missed.

I stayed at Wombalee with my partner & our dog, this July.It was an awesome home to enjoy the views, nearby bushwalks, visiting Mayfield Gardens, antique stores as well as exploring the property’s beautiful paddock & acreage.Highlights of most days was visiting the butchers in town, going back to the well-appointed kitchen for a cookup while the fireplace was being setup, then chilling on the super-comfy sofas with a red wine & or the local port.

Picturesque rural retreat

We had a lovey relaxing time sat on the verandah in the morning watching the birds, roos and even a dear and her fawn. The kids loved the swings, toys and the hammock in the garage

Awesome winters break

listing was exactly what we were after for a winter get away from the city. facilities were excellent and as promised or better than on the listing which was a lovely surprise. fireplaces were superb and the views and walks in the valley just what we were after. highly recommend for an escape from the bRIght lights - the colder the better as this house is made for roaring fires and shiraz !

We had a fabulous stay at Emilie’s farm house and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful part of the country. Our kids loved exploring the farm and seeing the kangaroos, wombats, cows and snakes! The house was perfect for our needs, clean and well equipped. We loved the fire pit and star gazing. The coffee machine was a godsend and the kitchen was perfectly adequate to make dinners and brekky. Lunch was out at the lovely Oberon cafes we discovered and we found the advice from Emilie helpful to make the most of the trip. A one star deduction for a few pieces of crockery that had been put away with food still on them but this didn’t detract from our wonderful stay.

fantastic get away

Wonderful like last time. This time we toured the Autumn gardens, very special. Last year winter snow, next year maybe spring? It is one of our favorite places. Views are amazing, nightly fire a treat, well equipped. Thank you again

Beautiful

Wow what a view! Could watch the valley all day. Enjoyed day trips, and the day at home ( minus 9 brrr) we remained cosy and warm and watched the clouds. Well stocked kitchen, this farmhouse has all that you need. We even watched a joey doing zoomies from the window! We and our puppies loved our 5 nights, thank you.

Fantastic experience!

This property is an absolute hidden gem - the photos of the views from the house are eclipsed by the actual view. Communication with the property owner was very good - they were very helpful with our dog request and instructions on how to find the property. The house itself is huge and we'll definitely return with a larger group for a long weekend. The fireplace makes the living area and the reading nook is amazing - the natural light and views are priceless. The kitchen facilities are excellent - a huge variety of crockery and pans meant this keen cook was able to produce great fare all weekend Breakfast on the deck every morning was fantastic 100% have already shared this gem with friends looking for a great getaway

Stunning view, comfy and well-equipped house

We stayed with my parents and kids over the Easter long weekend. The view from the house is incredible and is beautiful to look out on. The house itself is comfortable and had plenty of room for the six of us. The main thing to keep in mind with a group of that size is that there is one bathroom, but that’s fine as long as you coordinate :-). The kitchen was well-equipped and had plenty of basic supplies, as well as some extra things that were handy such as a coffee machine and toastie maker. Our host was a pleasure to deal with as well. Close enough to Oberon in case you need to pick up any extra supplies, but it feels like a world away from everything.
