Skiing get away

The perfect winter get-a-way!

Our family loved the thoughtfully decorated, cozy cabin and close location to Crystal Mountain. The game room, open floor plan, and snow shoes were perfect for family time.

Ski and site seeing

The log cabin was one of the best places we have stayed we very much enjoyed our stay. easy access to all the things we wanted to do. we will be back in the future we will highly recommend this cabin to all our friends thank You Gretchen & Larry

Great getaway

This was a perfect getaway for our family of 4. Cozy and very clean, secluded but very close to Crystal Mountain. Great wifi so our kids could do e-learning all week. Kids loved the bunk beds and air hockey and we all enjoyed being in the yard and making smores every night. We hope to come back!

We had a great time at the cabin and was able to fit in a kayak trip on the lower Platte River. A beautiful cabin in a great location! The owner is very quick and helpful in answering questions. Would certainly recommend staying at this rental! So clean and well stocked! Thanks for a wonderful time!

Great Cabin!

If you are looking for something in the Thompsonville/travers city area this is your place! Wonderful cabin in the woods, yet close to Crystal mountain. Spotless, plenty of room and equipped with everything you need. DO NOT hesitate to rent for a few days or weeks, I promise you will love it!

Magical Cabin in the Woods

This authentic log cabin in the woods is a peaceful retreat yet so close to Crystal Mountain amenities and local breweries and restaurants. The cabin is clean, cozy, and decorated with a cute cabin theme. It’s a wonderful place to get away and relax. Amy is a responsive and great host! We had a wonderful time!

Fantastic cabin close to Crystal Mountain!

We had a great weekend at Amy's cabin. We were able to snowshoe on the property and play air hockey in the basement! The cabin is minutes away from Crystal Mountain and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks!

ADORABLE!

This cabin is an absolute gem. My whole family had a ball here. We were able to play outside in the snow and then come in for hot chocolate and family game night. The fact that it was just a minute from Crystal Mountain was FABULOUS! We would love to stay here again.

Wedding weekend

The home was beautiful and had plenty of space. We rented it for an out of town wedding in Honor, MI. The location was not far from the venue and the house was very clean. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away.

We really enjoyed our stay

This house is in a truly wonderful location with many fun activities in the area. It sits in a quiet, private wooded area. It is clean, spacious and air conditioned. Our kids were so pleased with the basement and the toys that were provided. The kitchen is clean and had whatever we needed. A washer/dryer would've made this place perfect. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed the home and the location.

The home was very clean and in a wonderful location. One suggestion would be adding a railing on the basement steps. A must for people that have difficulty with steps. Thanks for all your assistance!!

Perfect cabin in a great location

Fantastic weekend getaway. We chose this log home mainly for its location, and it did not disappoint. Although we were maybe a week early for peak colors, it was still beautiful. Im pretty picky about the places we stay, and the Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. From early pre trip contact with Amy, through final checkout i cant say enough good things about the host or the stay. Privacy, location, authentic log home, what more can you ask for. The biggest issue we had was not wanting to leave 🙂. We will surely return.

GORGEOUS

Amy was very responsive to all my questions. The house was exactly as pictured. It was decorated for Christmas with a tree in every room. Very cozy and relaxing. I took my grandparents there for Thanksgiving weekend so they could relax and they were very pleased and impressed!! There was even wood left by the dire pit so my daughter was able to do smores! Definitely recommend!!

Perfect Location!!!!!!

WE had a wonderful time ! Cabin was perfect location. Big enough for our family and had enough room to have our own space. Communication was excellent with Amy. She even let us check in early....(bonus) Cabin was clean and family had a great time exploring the property. We will be back. It was close to Crystal mountain and local winery. We rented snowmobiles, cross country ski.

Everything you need provided in a beautiful package

Absolutely loved the style of the cabin, and the owners have provided so many things — down to crockpots and Netflix! The property is surrounded by beautiful trees (although there is one other house within view), and the covered porches make enjoying nature possible in any weather! Loved being close to Crystal Mountain for the hiking trails, and you’re only a couple miles from Rosie’s where I recommend you eat breakfast a few times! Especially the homemade cinnamon bread. Beautiful overall. I would love to come back.

Perfect

We had a fantastic long weekend here with friends and kids ranging in age from 3 years old to 9. The cabin was beautiful with everything we could need. I loved the Keurig :) We had a fire in the pit every night and enjoyed s'mores and gazing at the beautiful stars. We saw deer in the yard and got to meet the neighbors adorable dog. Took day trips to Crystal Mountain, Sleeping Bear, and the beach- lots of fun! The kids had a blast. Thank you so much!

Perfect Location Secluded in the woods

My family and I travelled from Dallas, TX for a weekend of skiing at Crystal Mountain. This cute and cozy cabin is within 2 miles of the resort and makes for a perfect relaxing getaway after a long day on the slopes. All the amenities are present to make the stay comfortable. The kids spent most evenings in the basement playing cards or air hockey in the game room. We went for a walk in the woods and the surrounding nature is excellent. I would highly recommend this venue for families or a couple simply looking to get away for the weekend. We would definitely use this property again when we are back up in Michigan for a ski trip.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods

The driveway leads you into the woods to a beautiful secluded cabin! Very clean, comfortable beds, front and back porches for morning coffee. You won’t be disappointed. My grandkids loved playing air hockey, the adults loved it too. We loved how centrally located it was. We spent a day at Sleeping Bear Dunes, went kayaking on platt river, picked cherries in Traverse City. We also rode the Alpine Coaster, and went putt putt golfing. We were able to sit by the fire at night and enjoyed making s’mores Amy was wonderful at responding quickly to any concerns we had. We checked in very late at night and Amy had the lights turned on for us which helped a lot. We live in Tulsa Ok and this was our first log cabin experience. We will definitely be back to stay in the beautiful cabin in the woods.

Very nice cabin

Very nice cabin. Would have given a five star for cleanliness but when we lifted the couch cushions to use the pull out couch there was a LOT of popcorn. Also linen is NOT included for the pull out bed. It states in the listing that “all linens are included”. It also states three bedrooms, but it’s actually two bedrooms with privacy and a door, the master bed is in the loft right over the kitchen. Everyone can hear everyone. Other than the couch the house was VERY clean, inside and out. Exceptionally clean for a cabin in the woods. There were no bugs or spiderwebs etc. The basement playroom was VERY nice. The cabin for sure needed more lighting on the whole first floor. Was very dark. The kitchen light wasn’t working when we were there. That would make a big difference in the kitchen area. I would have liked curtains on the windows also. There weren’t enough panels to cover the windows in the downstairs living area or the kitchen door and window. Bedrooms and bathrooms had curtains. All the beds were very comfortable but ridiculously creaky. You could not move in the beds without waking everyone up. Also I think getting a washer dryer would be a good investment. There is a laundry 10 minutes away, but who wants to spend two hours at a laundromat when they’re on vacation.
