I stayed at this property for 12 days with my daughter and with other family members visiting over the time we were there. The beds are comfortable. It had everything we needed for comfort. There are kayaks available for use which we enjoyed. All communication with Evolve was easy with quick responses. The location on the lake is perfect with a sandy, shallow bottom. The deck and dock were a highlight with comfortable furniture and plenty of seating. We spent a lot of time there. Recommend going to the Brewery restaurant a short walk from the cottage. Great atmosphere and food. I highly recommend this place for a lake vacation.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your 12-day stay! We're delighted the comfortable beds, kayaks, and everything you needed made for an easy, comfortable trip with your family. The lake location really is special, and it sounds like the deck and dock furniture got well-earned use. We're also glad communication with Evolve was easy and responsive throughout your stay, and appreciate the tip about the nearby brewery for future guests.

Nice beachfront property with all the amenities. Very clean and no bugs. Gorgeous sunsets. Warm, shallow, sandy lake. Very nice decks both attached to house and at the lake front. Host was great. My only issue was the air conditioning. No central air and the window units blow circuit breakers if used at the same time. And master bedroom needs new shades.

Very attractive property. The only thing I was disappointed in was that there was no real bed on the first floor. I was told there was, but didn't realize it would be a pull out sofa.Other than that, it was lovely.

This cottage is marketed as Exceptional. It was far from it. The outside areas were nice and comfortable but the house itself was a huge disappointment. It is a very old house with uneven floors, filthy stained carpeting, wallpaper falling off the wall, etc. etc. Perhaps the worst feature was that although there are window air conditioners in each bedroom, you could only turn on two at a time without blowing a circuit. The bedrooms are upstairs and they are hot. On the lake side (facing west), one of the windows shade was missing and the other one would not stay down so the afternoon sun made it even hotter. However, the kitchen and bathrooms have been upgraded and we found those clean and well stocked. We would like to warn others who, like us, have stayed in truly Exceptional VRBO's.

Short get away

Staying at the lake house on Lake Klinger was a delight. The dock was a standout feature—perfect for relaxing, fishing, or jumping into the water. The house itself was spotless and well-maintained, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. Everything was neatly organized, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. Highly recommend for a peaceful lakeside getaway!

Long Weekend

Overall, a great place to get away with family. Water is clean, clear, and sandy. Plenty of things that family could use on water, like kayaks, life vests. Great location with great neighbors with kids of all ages. Nearby restaurant/bar with good food for all ages. Only negative was only one full bathroom which made bath/showers at night longer. Would definitely stay here again.

Old Friends Reunion

This was a beautiful property! We had sunny weather and enjoyed sitting on the deck with the amazing lake view. The only downside was that the one full bathroom was inside the master suite. This was not convenient at all for 6 people.

Shipshewana lights up

We very much enjoyed our stay in your home. We had everything we needed and more. It was very clean. The beds were fantastic as were the pillows. Great quality linens. I appreciate that and a good night sleep. The home was beautiful and decorated nicely. It was wonderful having coffee in the morning with the lake right outside our window. Thank you so much for making our trip to see the Christmas lights in Shipshewana that much more memorable

Longtime Friends Get-together

The lake and lakefront area were amazing! We spent almost entire time on the decks enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Our one complaint about the home was that the only full bathroom was inside the master suite and not easily accessible to the other bedrooms (and the doorknob latch was broken so the door would not stay shut). We made do, but suggest fixing for future guests! Otherwise it is a super getaway place!

Girls Weekend

Pros: There were 7 of us women that enjoyed our stay and would come back for another weekend. We were pleasantly surprised that there was more comfortable outdoor seating than shown in the pictures. Most of us spent the entire day outside paddle boarding and floating in the lake and gathering around the fire pit at night. They had everything you could want available to use, beach towels, camping chairs, lake toys and floats, patio umbrellas on the porch and dock, a table inside large enough to seat all of us so we could comfortably laugh and play games, the beds/pillows were all new and comfortable. Cons: the house has its quirks, probably from what seems like foundation issues? It’s visibly crooked when inside. The upstairs bathroom door doesn’t stay closed on its own so you either use it with the door open or put the laundry basket in front of the door to keep it from swinging open. Couple of broken lamps & outlets that didn’t work. Tried to open a couple of windows that look out to the lake but some were stuck closed. We also lost power on Saturday night, unsure why as there were no storms happening but it was the whole lake that lost power not just the house. The power came back on the next morning before checkout. Though the cons list may seem long none of it took away from the overall wonderful experience we had.
