The place was a cute place, the hot tub was great! And the communication with host was great as well. There was something’s I would mention or suggest. The ceiling fans in the rooms were very dusty and the fold out couch had dirty tissues inside it when we opened it up, also the WiFi was not the greatest you had to reconnect to it every 10-15 mins or so. The home came with only 6 towels we stayed 4 nights and had 6 guest so we had to rewash them or use our own we brought. Other than those couple things it was a good stay.

Great Stay

The property was fun and inviting. Really injoyed the hot tube and the Privacy in the backyard. Overall I will be staying here again. Had a great time.

Great little place!

Fun retro theme with everything we needed during our stay! We swept the back patio area and enjoyed that space very much. Hot tub was fantastic! Used it every evening! Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for our Anniversary, the place is too cute! They put ALOT of effort in making this place so unique! It’s in a great location and we really enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk around SA! A+!

Perfect getaway spot!

The property was exactly like the listing/pictures! So cute and very clean, had everything we needed. We really enjoyed out stay and were very comfortable. Great area of town, with lots to do and not too far at all from downtown. Will definitely recommend this property and plan on coming back!

Super cute throwback rental

This rental was perfect for my family. I came down for the holidays. The super cute 50s vibe was amazing and my kids loved it. The hot tub was nice and the fully stock kitchen was perfect for the holiday season. I would highly recommend this place.

Fun little duplex with great amenities!!

We really enjoyed the retro inspired duplex. The hot tub was great and we cooked smores on the firepit in the back with really nice rocking chairs. Fun Pacman tournaments with the kids as well.

Perfect Stay!

This place was perfect for our stay in S.A. The Alamo Heights location is perfectly situated, minutes from the airport and downtown. We were in town for the Final Four, so it was great not being stuck in a crowded hotel room. Between the games and experiencing the city, and checking out the local cuisine, we didn’t get to take full advantage of all the place had to offer - outdoor grill, hot tub, fire pit - but it is a perfect place to hang out and the retro theme was really unique. I would gladly stay here again on any future trip.

Fun place to stay, especially with a kid. Showering in a claw foot tub takes some skill. I should have considered that for my husband with bad knees.

The location of the house was great for us. It was easy to get to where we needed to go. We really enjoyed the hot tub and backyard space. The beds were comfortable. As other people mentioned, the shower was not a highlight as the curtain was constantly touching you. Also as mentioned there were no washcloths, sponges, or kitchen towels to use to do dishes. Overall the neighborhood was quiet, but the house is along a somewhat busy street, so there was some traffic noise, and reversing out of the driveway, depending on the time of day, could be a little challenging. There was plenty of street parking which we chose to use instead. Overall we had a good stay.

Cute little property. Perfect for my family. Nice safe neighborhood close to grocery store and about 27 mins to JBSA. Only downfall is the shower, the shower curtain really encloses you in. Its a clawfoot tub with shower attachments. Its a big step to get in and out. Better off if they put in a walk in shower. Other than that it was really nice. Had all things you would need to cook and bake with. Even had kid friendly plates ans utensils. Beds were comfy.

This home had some big plusses,,,and equally big minuses.On the plus side: Super close to the airport and very conveniently located. It was delightfully decorated and very fun. Parking was easy and right in front. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe. If you what you want is easy and aesthetically pleasing - this is your place!The cons: While it touts itself as a small owner business, it's run by management company that clearly isn't invested in the details. Many basics were missing: only one hanger between both closets, no carafe for the blender (only a base), no laundry soap, no kitchen towels, the dish rack only had an old moldy sponge and was covered in a thick layer of brown sludge, no plastic wrap or bags, an ironing board but no iron, no bath mat, no extra blankets for the beds (each had a very thin coverlet and sheet only). I ended up going to the Target a half mile away to buy what was missing as the property manager wasn't.We knew it was a claw foot tub, but I wasn't expecting the curtain to be oversized and hung so tightly - when closed it was nearly impossible to shower without the curtain touching you, which is pretty gross as it was clear it's not cleaned between guests. Admittedly, this is a personal bugaboo and when combined with the heavy dust on the bathroom ceiling vent I was feeling not great about the bathroom.Pro tip: they strangely don't include this information anywhere, but there is a recycling bin on the neighbor side of the house.

We really enjoyed our stay at this retro-styled home. The decor was so fun and unique — it felt like stepping back in time in the best way. We especially appreciated that the property was dog-friendly, so we could bring our pups along without any issues.The beds were very comfortable. We used the hot tub once and it was a nice perk, though the chlorine was quite strong. The kitchen and common areas were well-equipped and perfect for the two of us.A couple of things to note: The shower/tub combo is quite small, and the curtain tends to stick to you while showering. Our biggest issue was the traffic noise from the busy street outside, combined with bright street lights that shone directly into the rooms. The blinds didn’t reach all the way to the window sills, so there was a lot of light at night. We were grateful they provided sleep masks, which helped a lot, but proper blackout curtains would make a big difference.Overall, it’s a charming property in a very convenient location. With a few small upgrades (especially window treatments), it would be perfect. We’d consider staying again!
