Dear Steve, We are just now seeing your review from last year and wanted to respond for the benefit of future guests. We are glad you enjoyed the location. For the benefit of future guests, we would like to clarify several other points you mention. Our cottage has been welcoming families for over 13 years and is accurately represented through our detailed description and extensive photos. The listing clearly states that it is a 900-square-foot quaint Cape Cod cottage, not a large home. The room sizes, layout, sleeping accommodations, and all bed sizes are clearly disclosed. The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, not a queen bed as stated in your review. Our listing also clearly describes the small, open-concept kitchen, which is well stocked and includes a custom 84-inch granite bar-height table that seats six. We do not advertise a separate dining room, central air conditioning, cable television, or a dishwasher. Cooling is provided by two window air-conditioning units, exactly as described in the listing. The living room is intentionally designed as a cozy gathering space, complemented by the screened porch, private patio, grill, fire pit, and fenced yard. Each bedroom is equipped with bedside reading lamps, and the living room also has a reading lamp in addition to recessed lighting throughout the home. As we do with every guest, we checked in with you on the day of your arrival to ensure everything was satisfactory. When you shared your concerns, we responded promptly to each one. We addressed your numerous questions. because we want every guest to be completely satisfied, we offered you a full refund for the unused portion of your stay (the whole week if you wished to check out, if you felt the cottage was not the right fit. You chose to remain and complete your reservation. Finally, we want to address the statement regarding a cockroach. We found no evidence of a cockroach in the cottage. We take the cleanliness and maintenance of our home extremely seriously, and in more than 13 years of hosting guests, we have never had another guest report seeing a cockroach. We believe it is important that future guests have accurate information when making their vacation plans. We encourage prospective guests to review our listing description, photos, floor plan, and amenities before booking as well as reviews.
