Pet friendly? I booked this condo in February 2026. Sometime between February and July 20, 2026, the pet friendly status changed. We were not made aware of this until the second day of our vacation when Elliot Rentals called me and informed me we would get evicted if our dog was not removed from the property. I informed them that I had a snapshot of where I booked the condo in February that says pet friendly. They wanted to see that snapshot. They must’ve thought I was lying. I went right away and showed him the screenshot. I was informed at that time that I had to pay a 300 deposit because I had my pet there, but I was under the assumption that I had already paid to have a pet there when I booked it. If I didn’t pay the 300 deposit I would be evicted out of the condo. About an hour later, Elliott rentals called me back and informed me that the owner decided to keep the deposit, without even coming to see if my dog had done any damage to the condo which she did not. She is a well-behaved golden doodle, and I was the only one at the condominium place that was actually picking up dog waste in the dog area. I feel the Elliott Reynolds needs to reimburse the 300 that was supposed to be just for a deposit and also for my time and dealing with the situation that was supposed to be pet friendly but then didn’t turn out to be pet friendly. I think Elliot Reynolds owes me some form of repayment or a free vacation for having to deal with something that they sold that wasn’t true.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration surrounding the pet policy, especially since you booked the condo in February based on it being advertised as pet friendly. We understand how upsetting it must have been to be contacted during your vacation and told that your dog would have to be removed or you could face eviction. We also appreciate that you had a screenshot showing the pet-friendly status at the time of booking and promptly provided it when requested. We understand why you would have expected the original booking terms to be honored. We’re also sorry for the stress and inconvenience surrounding the unexpected $300 charge and the subsequent decision regarding the deposit. Your concerns about how the policy change was communicated and how the deposit was handled are completely understandable. We will make sure your feedback is shared with the appropriate management team for review, including the circumstances surrounding the $300 charge and the property’s pet-policy change. We regret that this situation took away from your vacation experience, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
