The location is magical! Wood fireplace, spectacular views, dog friendly & amenities that allow you to instantly feel at home! Hosts were warm and welcoming!!

This property was absolutely gorgeous . We loved our weekend getaway here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The kids never once asked to play video games! We would absolutely recommend this place to everyone and hope to be back real soon!

Our stay was perfect. We wanted to find a peaceful spot to stay for my husband's 50th birthday. This was the perfect getaway, away from beach traffic and noise. Kim's home had everything we needed, there wasn't a kitchen utensil she didn't have. The beds were comfortable, the house was cozy and immaculate. The stores were close by and the town was so quaint. The scenery and the lake were absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful, and the weather was great. To sum it up, we had a fabulous time. Thank you for sharing your home and your family history at Treetopp.

Peaceful

We had a wonderful stay at this location. It was the perfect getaway for peace and relaxation…The property has everything you need for fishing, boating, hiking, the playhouse is fun for the kids and adults too… We enjoyed it a lot and will return in the future..

We are very fortunate to have had a chance to stay at this cozy cabin during a snow storm! The property is beautiful, and rooms are clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the fireplace and streaming services after a long day of skiing, which was only a 15min drive away. Communication with the owner was excellent and they were very accommodating when we had an unexpected change of plans. We hope to be back! Also, highly recommend sledding on the hill across the lake! Thank you!

A bit of paradise

This is a beautifully maintained property with gracious, accommodating, hosts. Our group ranged in age from 8 to 70+ and we were all happy and as busy as we wanted to be. One of our best Catskills stays yet!

This beautiful house and property was an amazing stay in our memories!!

We enjoyed our weekend stay there at this beautiful property. Very well maintained landscape and a clean house with lake view. I wished i came here on the peak fall weekend. Kids and adults enjoyed the Trianon game house next to our house. Looking forward to visit again in summer.

Amazing, relaxing vacation

We had the best time! Hiking, swimming, kayaking, waterfalls, firepit, star gazing, meditating, enjoying the gardens and relaxing. My dogs ran and swam all week. A great time was had by all. Thank you for shaing your paradise with us!

The property is so idyllic. Clearly the property has been a labor of love by family. Front and center is a gorgeous lake with a dock and row boat/kayak. Hiking is bountiful right on the property. Kids and adults alike enjoyed games in front of the fireplace in the separate Trianon game house. Our dog was welcomed with open arms literally and enjoyed the peace and quiet and time outdoors. Hosts are some of the loveliest people you’ll meet. One of the most family friendly vacation homes we’ve stayed at. Thank you Kim for an unforgettable family weekend in the Catskills!

Beautiful

The property is gorgeous. It’s very large, well taken care of, and offers beautiful views and privacy. Even tho it rained, the kids had so much fun, fishing, catching frogs and salamanders. The Trianon was awesome, especially since the weather was rainy. Enjoyed our time there very much. Met Kim and John and they were lovely!!

Serene beauty

The property and accommodations were excellent, in extremely good condition and well-appointed. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Dogs were happier than we have ever seen them when not at home. A superb place to unwind, spend time with family and friends, and be relaxed. Clean, clear lake for kayak, rowboat and swimming. Lovely flower gardens, several firepits, marked trails in the woods, and on and on. Could not recommend more highly!

Peaceful and Beautiful

Words cannot describe how beautiful the property is and how immaculate the cabin and the grounds are. We enjoyed walking the grounds, using the boat and canoe, wildlife watching, playing ping pong and chess, and sitting by the fireplace reading a good book. We also enjoyed the local farm to table restaurants in the area. Our pups enjoyed swimming in the ponds and exploring the grounds. The owners are hospitable and easy to communicate with. This was our second year. We plan to make it our yearly retreat.

A Perfect Family Getaway

Certainly! Here’s a polished version of your VRBO review:⸻We had a fantastic stay at Treetop Acres—truly, the photos don’t do this beautiful property justice. We were looking for a family-friendly getaway where the kids could spend all day outdoors, and this place delivered. They had a blast hiking, fishing, catching salamanders, and swimming in the lake—and our dogs loved it just as much! It was the perfect weekend escape. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Kim was an exceptional host, providing clear, helpful communication before our arrival and remaining available throughout our stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful property and relaxing vacation spot

The photographs in the listing do not accurately reflect how beautiful and well-maintained this property is. It really is immaculate, with several well-maintained trails in all directions, including a waterfall. We caught bass in the lake and enjoyed spending time on the dock admiring the beauty of the lake and surrounding property. The house is very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The separate game room was fantastic and the kids enjoyed spending time there watching movies while the adults relaxed outside. The owners are very friendly and communicative and made us feel very welcome. We will return without a doubt.

Family get together

We had a great family get together at the treetopp rental property. The property was very amenable to everyone of us, including our 2 infants. The views around the property are amazing. The landscaping is immaculate. There are some trails around the property/in the woods that are fun to explore. The game room was a great spot to retreat to in the occasional rainstorm that we encountered. Margaretville is a quaint town a short drive away that has a grocery store, coffee shops, and restaurants. The ice cream at the “Bun and Cone” was delicious.

Paradise

My family and I had such an amazing stay at this breathtaking oasis in the woods. Kim was kind and easy to communicate with, even checking in to ensure we were doing well. The property is beyond amazing with vast forests and hiking trails, we never even left because there was so much to explore! We would definitely love to return at different times of the year to experience other seasons. I bet it would be amazing in the summer or even the perfect winter wonderland. Thank you so much for being such a gracious host! We will definitely plan to return in the future!

Mountain paradise

We had an amazing week at Tree Topp Acres. We enjoyed swimming, exploring the many different areas of the property, hiking to the waterfalls, kayaking and fishing. The property is absolutely beautiful! Words can’t describe how well maintained everything is and how gorgeous all the flower gardens are. Props to the landscapers! The Trianon was a great place to escape the rain. We had a lot of fun playing on the ping pong table. Our dog had the time of her life running around the huge lawn, walking the trails, and swimming. She also became obsessed with trying to befriend all the frogs near the shore of the lake. Fugly is such a cute tradition. Of course we had to go hunt for him on our first day! It was fun re-hiding him and leaving a clue for the next guests. Thank you so much Kim for sharing your beautiful property with us and being a great host!!! We hope to revisit in the future!

BEST PROPERTY & RENTERS EVER!

Me, my fiancé and 4 small dogs stayed at this property for the first time in June 2023, and let me just say that the photos don't do this place justice (and the photos are beautiful as you can see)! From the moment we pulled into the long private driveway and saw the meticulously landscaped property overlooking a sizeable, clean pond, we knew we made the right choice. The house was also more homey than we anticipated and had all the amenities you could want (washing machine, dryer, two bathrooms, nice flatscreen TV, automatic lights at night when we let the dogs out to go pee, etc). The icing on the cake was the Trianon, which boasts a tall ceiling and spacious room with a mini bar, board games, ping pong table and flatscreen TV - it also has perfect acoustics for the guitar I brought. While all of this was great, what we appreciated most was the graciousness of our hosts, Kim and John, who arrived Saturday evening and left Sunday evening. During this time, they were so considerate, offering to pick up some food on the way to the market and providing doggie steps, etc. to our dogs they had used in the past for their dog, Hugz. Our 15 year old senior was so very grateful. :) And all of our dogs were grateful each time they stepped outside and could roam freely around the huge beautiful grounds. Lastly, this vacation almost never happened due to wildfires in Canada affecting NY's air quality. Kim took off a night for us at no charge so we would come when we felt safe! A++
