Marlay View Cottage is a modern, three-bedroom Queenslander.

This Cottage is perfect for your next family holiday, romantic getaway or group trip.

Relax and unwind with a local bottle of wine in the large spa bath, enjoy the sunset from the large outdoor entertaining area while the children play in the spacious, enclosed yard or curl up beside the fireplace with a book from the Cottage library, this space is set up to be your ‘home away from home’.
The space
The Cottage is only a 5 minute walk to the CBD and offers three large bedrooms with two bathrooms with toilets and an additional shower with vanity.

The Master Bedroom has a Queen-sized bed and features a small library with both children's and adult books, walk in robe with hanging space and private access to the main bathroom with spa bath and main toilet.

The second Bedroom has a Queen-sized bed and features an ensuite with shower, wardrobe and hanging space and personal access to the front verandah.

The third Bedroom has two Single beds and features a wardrobe with hanging space and personal access to the front verandah.

The Kitchen is home to modern appliances - a K-fee Coffee Pod Machine with Pods, Gas Stove, Wine Fridge, Fridge/Freezer, breakfast bench with stools, Pantry, Dishwasher, Crockery, Cutlery, Drinkware, Kid's Dining Set, Microwave, Toaster, Milk Frother and Kettle.

The Lounge Room features three large recliners, a comfy Armchair, Smart TV, Netflix, built-in ChromeCast, Blankets, Board Games, Blu-Ray DVD player with a selection of DVD's and Fireplace with portable fire guard.

The Dining Room features a six-seater Dining Suite, large Bi-Fold Doors that open onto the back deck and wood Pizza Oven.

The large Outdoor Entertaining area at the rear of the house features a 5-seater Lounge Suite with recliners and views to the beautiful mountains behind Stanthorpe.

The front Verandah features a quaint three-piece Sitting Area to relax and enjoy a hot cup of tea or a lovely glass of local wine and grazing platter to take in the beautiful views of Mt Marlay.

The Cottage also features plenty of room for children to play and explore the gardens, concrete pads for the kids to roller skate, ride their bikes, play Hopscotch or create beautiful artwork with chalk.

There are 2 undercover parking spaces located on the premise. Parking of your vehicle can be done in the garage located at the rear of the property.

Beautiful cottage, super comfy and cosy with lovely decor, we loved it and felt very much at home there. The only negative feedback I would give is that the entry up the back stairs doesn’t match the high standard one finds inside. The stairs are covered in bird poo and look like they need a good scrub. The back verandah could do with a wash too. And the front garden desperately needs weeding. Otherwise everything was perfect and I would highly recommend this property.

Central Stanthorpe Escape

This spacious home has comfortable furnishings, a cosy fire place and modern amenities. We enjoyed soaking up the sun in the afternoon on the Western patio.

Spacious, cosy and well equipped house

Stayed in this lovely house for a few nights during winter and absolutely loved the fireplace on a cold night. The house easily accommodated 4 adults and 3 kids, with a large living area, dining area, 2 large bedrooms with queen beds, and another bedroom with 2 single beds and even another trundle bed. All beds had electric blankets, and the whole house had ducted air to keep us all warm. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything from a wine fridge to a pizza oven (although we couldn't find any of the utensils for the pizza oven). The property has a large backyard which the kids made use of. Location is great for accessing the sights and eats nearby. If you are looking for a comfortable and convenitaly situated stay in Stanthorpe, I highly recommend this property.

The cottage was very nice & we got it very warm & comfortable.1) We could not see the point of the key safe at the top of the front stairs, when you can only get into the property from the rear stairs/deck… being older people it was a pain & not to practical.2) we did not feel like welcomed guess, just a little note to say “HI Jill, hope you enjoy your stay (small little chalk board on the work bench would be good) & in the fridge some milk and maybe a bottle of local wine would of been nice” seeing that you are in the QLD wine district. They had Tea & Coffee & other condiments but did not milk(when you have been travelling 6 hours, it would have been nice a cuppa of tea).Any correspondence I had with the owner the replies were quite short…3) it would of been helpful to have had a more info in the welcome pack, eg how to use the TV, Fridge Ice & cold water ect, so that people are not just pressing buttons at random & could break things (not every one has good appliants).4) some of the Pink plates we chipped… not a good look.5) we run out to Loo roll’s (in the toilet next to the Kitchen) there was 4 adults using this toilet & there was 1 full roll on the holder & 2 on the window ceil that were around 1/4 full!!! So we had to buy some..

Maintenance issues plagued our stay.The main fireplace didn't draw/work. Last serviced March 2023 according to the (lack of)annual service information in the book that was supplied with the house. There was no firewood.the oven didn't work.Half the hot plates didn't work. Disappointed. SM
