Welcome to Broad River Roost - a DOG-FRIENDLY, 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath mountain retreat nestled in the gated Riverbend at Lake Lure community. Recently featured on Travel Guide Asheville's “Ultimate Guide to Cozy Cabins & Vacation Rentals In & Around Asheville” (the only Lake Lure home to make the list!), this cozy yet spacious log cabin offers a rare blend of rustic charm, modern comfort, and direct access to the great outdoors.

Start your mornings with coffee on the deck and end your evenings by the riverfront fire pit, just down your own private set of stairs to the majestic Broad River, where this home enjoys its own peaceful stretch of riverfront access. While the river area may look a little different from listing photos depending on the season and weather, it's still the perfect spot to relax, recharge, or explore!

Inside the home you'll find:
- 4 bedrooms: a king bed in the upstairs loft, a queen room & a full-size bedroom on the main floor, and a playful bunk room in the basement

Beautiful, cozy cabin. My two boys, husband and father in law are obsessed with fishing, they spend hours fishing down the river. The community has a lot to offer and we had a great time in the private lake. We are looking forward to coming back soon.

Having a vehicle with 4-wheel drive would benefit those staying at this house because of the very steep driveway. There is no description regarding this driveway in the listing. It would’ve been nice to know this prior to arrival.

We had a wonderful trip. My daughter in law, son, grandson and fur babies. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Communication with the host was awesome! The property was beautiful and right on the river, we saw deer and turtles every day. The back deck was so calming to sit and watch the water. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had a great stay overall. The house comfortably accommodated 7 adults and 2 small dogs, with plenty of room for everyone. The river and porch were the highlights of the property! Be prepared for 60 stairs down to the water and 60 stairs back up, it's worth it.A few things future guests should note: the booking process required quite a bit of information, and getting through the gate for the first time was somewhat challenging. The driveway is very steep. Our minivan struggled to make it up, so I would strongly recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle. In addition, the roads leading to the property are compacted gravel rather than paved.Despite those challenges, the property was enjoyable, the river was fantastic, and we had a memorable stay.

Quick Getaway

The property was beautiful and peaceful. We needed to just unplug and relax for a few days and this was the perfect location. The property was nice and well appointed! The creek/river bed below the house was fun to play and and the most relaxing sound. Loved it!

This was a much needed getaway and EXACTLY what we were looking for. The cabin is perfect - not too big - not too small - and just the right amount of comfy. The location is sublime - 10mins from any major needs/ desires - yet the feel of being totally secluded. Bonus: the waterfront feels like your own private river and is a great place to float about!! We’ll be back soon, for sure!!

Loved the river for our family summer vacation

Beautiful cabin in the woods! Plenty of room for our big group(8, mostly adults). Kitchen was very well equipped, bedrooms on multiple levels was perfect for my aging parents, nice to have a bedroom on the main floor. 60 stairs to the fire pit and river access was off limits for my 89 year old father, but was great exercise for the rest of us. Host was courteous, helpful, and responsive.

Very relaxing getaway

We had an amazing first family vacation. Stayed a long weekend and really enjoyed the secluded nature of the property. The river view and access were the best. I spent everyday in the river and every morning on the deck enjoying morning tea listening and watching the river. If I had one suggestion it would be wood that was smaller and more dried out for the fire pit. That way we could have enjoyed it more.

The neighborhood is very rigid after you rent the property. We nearly canceled the stay because of their approach. Thankfully they were less rigid once we arrived. The grounds around the house definitely need some TLC and the cleanliness of the interior was just so so. The drive is a half circle but our AWD cars could not make it up one side do to steepness and it being slick. As such we had to pull in and back out on one side. The property has 10 beds but only says it can sleep 8. I think we were a little early in the season to really get the best of the property. Tried several days to fish but caught nothing.

We loved our stay at Broad River Roost, and I love that they are dog-friendly, as we never travel without our pug. There were 7 of us, and we stayed 7 nights. I LOVED the stairs that took us directly to the river, and so did my pug. We went with friends who stayed on the top floor, which was more of a den than a bedroom; it didn't have a door, so it lacked privacy, and they had a half bath (sink and toilet, no shower). But it had a desk, and one of them had to work a few days, so it served that purpose. The bottom floor was very spacious; it was like an apartment on its own, with a large sitting area, a breakfast table, four bunk beds, and its own bathroom; this area was perfect for kids. It also has a TV, games, and an air hockey table. I would love to see this area after the town has been fully recovered from Hurricane Helene. Also, if you are staying here, it's ideal to drive a 4x4. If it rains, a regular car will struggle to get out of the parking area (the hill is steep, and it can become slippery when wet).
