I'm sorry your experience was less than ideal. This is not what either of us intended. Yes, the beach in front of the cottage is beautiful, and I’m glad your family was able to enjoy it. You are correct—our cleaner should have double-checked the outside area for garbage as well as the ground for pet waste, especially since the property is pet-friendly. I hope your dog enjoyed exploring the outdoors, too. While there is well water at the property, the smell can sometimes be stronger than the city water many of us are accustomed to. We will continue to look for ways to improve this. I wish you had reached out to our 24/7 guest service line during your stay. We would have gladly sent someone to clean up the garbage and pet waste right away. Again, I apologize you were not completely satisfied with your stay, and I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I wish you and your family all the best in your future travels. Elizabeth, I’m so glad you were able to soak in the view and enjoy the beautiful Lake Huron sandy beach! I sincerely apologize that the deck furniture and deck were not cleaned to the standard that both you and I expect. We strive to maintain a high level of cleanliness and will certainly address this with our cleaning team to prevent it from happening again. I’m sorry to hear that the updates did not meet your expectations. Your feedback is important, and we will take it into consideration as we continue to improve the property. Yes, there are indeed 25 steps down to the beach, with a handrail to assist. I’m truly sorry that this stay wasn’t ideal for you.
