This is about as close to the beach as you’re going to get. The walkway that takes you to the sand is about 20 steps from the door.

This place was perfect for our girls trip! My bff and I were very comfortable. We had plenty of sleeping options. Note: If you have small children- I thought the booking showed a tub, but it actually has a shower with adjustable handles and a bench, which could still work for kids. The side views from the deck were gorgeous!! Beware, you do have trees directly in front of you so you don’t have a Full view, but we liked the bit of privacy. This unit says no beach items but there were three beach chairs, three beach towels, and a couple of child floaters in the closets. We happily utilized the chairs. This beach is so much more private compared to mid and south beach. Imo, the water is better for swimming here vs wave crashing on the ocean side beaches. Only minor details- ice maker was very slow and no pitcher. You are within walking distance to the bike rentals. We loved keeping the car parked and biking everywhere! You can’t go wrong here. Hope to be back soon and will definitely use this property again.

We enjoyed the property and city of tybee island! Security was good, easy access to the beach, the pool wasn't open and the apartment was well stocked and had nice decor. We will return!

Great vacation!

My wife and I had a wonderful time on Tybee. The property exactly fit our needs. The section of beach we were on was very quiet, calm and relaxing. Highly recommend!

TYBEE NORTH BEACH

The property has everything you would want or need. The beach or pool are just steps away. My boys and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would definitely return!

The smell of sulfur was very strong. Initially we thought the smell was in the water, but having some research we found out the smell was coming from the bacteria build up in all the drains. We had a headache most of the time while in the condo and we had difficulty sleeping. The sofa bed sheets had not been changed. As your cleaning company will verify, we did not sleep on any of the bedding -- we were skeptical because the condo did not feel clean and the foul smell was overwhelming. The rug runner in the hallway was very dirty and there were unsightly dirty stains all over the runner, and the floors were dirty. We did not use the towels provided by the condo on our bodies -- we purchased our own towels. After one attempt to use the dishwasher, and the dishes did not get clean, we just washed the dishes by hand. The renovations were haphazard -- some door handles were corroded, and some were new and there were other items that looked like the original old items. Most of the time in the condo we were a bit squeamish and feeling a bit uncomfortable because of the heavy sulfur smell and the feeling that the condo was just not clean. The condo has the potential to be a very nice place to stay; a deep cleaning would be the first place to start and the elimination of the horrible sulfur smell needs to be addressed immediately (breathing in the foul bacteria that has saturated the air made us ill). As an Associate Broker/REALTOR, I've not decided how I want to proceed. Thank you

Thank you for sharing your concerns, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the discomfort you experienced during your stay. Regarding the sulfur smell, we do want to clarify that Tybee Island naturally has an occasional sulfur or “rotten egg” odor due to the surrounding salt marshes releasing hydrogen sulfide. This is a normal, non-harmful part of the ecosystem. If the smell were coming from the drains, the water itself would have carried the odor when used. We also reviewed our inspection reports, and all bedding—including the sofa bed sheets—was changed prior to your arrival. Additionally, when we checked in with you on the second day of your stay, you had let us know everything was good. Had we been made aware of any cleanliness concerns at that time or received photos, we would have addressed them immediately. The maintenance items you mentioned will be reviewed by our team, and any needed corrections will be made. We truly apologize that your experience fell short and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
