Our party of 8 rented this beautiful cabin for 4 nights/5 days at the end of July 2026. Right before our trip, a wildfire broke out in Ely, MN (about 3 hours NE). We were very concerned with air quality & the potential danger. From the beginning, Brent reassured us that there were no dangers and air quality was good. Check in was smooth as could be! Brent even checked in on us!Now for the property.....STUNNING! The view is perfect, the large back yard was great for yard activities, relaxing and star gazing in the clear sky, the house itself was very clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need for our trip. The water on Lake Roosevelt was crystal clear and super warm. We caught plenty of fish from the dock (beware the dock is hot!!). There were fishing boats and tubers, but we had the lake pretty much to ourselves during the week. The water was lower than normal but great to wade in as it only came up to our waste right off the deck. There is a very large sand bar within wading distance. While there we saw 2 eagles swoop down to catch a fish, wild turkeys, a beaver, turtles, and plenty of loons making their beautiful, peaceful calls. The property is secluded enough that we didn't see a neighbor but could hear them (they were very quiet, just voices travel out there!)Only negative was the water heater ran out of hot water too fast for the 8 of us! Plenty of stores and restaurants within 10 minutes of driving. We ate at the Pickled Loon.Great food and service!
