Stargazers Cabin is a beautifully appointed studio just 5 minutes from historic Clyde, wineries, the Rail Trail, and Alexandra. Combining cosy comforts with luxury finishes, it has everything you need for a lush, rural retreat including sumptuous linens, super king bed, private deck, views of the Carrick Range, gourmet breakfasts, and bike storage if you need it.

Designed for couples and solo retreats, Stargazers Cabin is a tranquil space created for you to slow down, relax and settle into rest. Completely self-contained with a private entrance, spacious studio bedroom and sumptuous super king bed with premium quality linen, en suite shower room with premium bath sheets, tea & coffee making facilities, armchair reading spot, and airy deck all for your enjoyment and yours alone. 

There's a coastal influence to the decor because, for me, the seaside is one of the most relaxing and peaceful places to be. Bringing a slice of that to the countryside is a treat that we hope you'll enjoy too. 

Your experience and the finer details of your stay are taken care of too: a selection of tea and coffee plus fresh milk provided daily or whenever you need it, gourmet homemade breakfasts are included in the nightly rate, and picnic and dinner packages are available to add-on once you know your plans. 

Toiletries await in the bathroom so you don't have to carry your entire toiletry collection with you (at least not on this step of your travels) or if you just fancy trying something new. 

Entertainment of the digital kind is provided through the Smart TV or the Harmon Kardon speaker for Bluetooth casting your choice of tunes or simply listening to the radio. Starlink WiFi is included too. 

When you're ready to explore, cycle trails and mountain bike trails are minutes away, historic Clyde with its wonderful cafés, boutiques, and river track walks is a 5-minute drive as is Lake Dunstan. A stomp up to the Alexandra clock is a similar distance in the other direction. If you'd like to explore Lake Dunstan by bike or by water (or both!) boat/bike charters can be arranged for you. Just ask! 





You're 45 minutes from Queenstown Airport. Cromwell, Bannockburn, Tarras and so many more beautiful places to explore are within 25 minutes' drive. Shuttles can be arranged upon request.

The cabin sits in the grounds of our home. We have two children and a well behaved dog. 

As with everything here, we aim to use environmentally and human-friendly products that are as natural and as minimally-synthetic as possible. 

Breakfast is included - please make us aware of any dietary exclusions - and typically includes homemade baked goods, granola, yoghurt and fruit.

A range of extras is available to make your stay comfortable and easy. Whether you want a hand planning your time here, want us to book activities for you, need a shuttle service to / from cellar door wanderings. 

Horse in tow? There's a menage and hitching rail, plus plenty of room to park your horsebox. 

The Cabin is not suitable for children or pets due to the size and quality of furnishings, respectively

Please note, there is no kitchen in the cabin hence why we include breakfast and offer picnic and dinner packages - we'll also happily recommend our favourite places to eat nearby.
