Of all the postcard-worthy patches along the Thames, one of our favourites has to be Putney Bridge. Sure, you can promenade along the river admiring tree-lined avenues, bobbing rowboats, and the eponymous bridge, but why not go one better and admire it from a private riverside patio? This delightful two-bedroom apartment offers just that, along with fresh interiors, a communal garden, and the District Line just minutes away.
A light, modern touch presides here. Crisp white walls, clean lines, and a pared-down aesthetic keep things simple and slick. A generously-sized kitchen, well-equipped for dinners at home, opens onto a winsome patio, peppered with leafy plants and pleasantly sheltered by a welcome awning. It's easy to snag some sun too, whilst drinking in those charming riverside views (and the odd glass of wine). There's no shortage of opportunity either, with the living room affording a sun-soaked balcony to relax on upstairs. Soft tones and ample natural light in the bedrooms will help blow the cobwebs away — enhanced by views of the river in one and large attic windows in the other. There's a good-sized shower room on the ground floor and a sleek ensuite complete with bath tub. We reckon the mantra here should be: come for the river, stay for the home.
We love...
All the options for enjoying the view, be it basking on the balcony, snuggling up on the patio furniture, or watching the boats bob passed the communal garden. And whilst we're singing the praises of its location, being within a scenic stroll to neighbouring Fulham and Barnes, and just moments from Putney Bridge Station, makes this an ideal base from which to explore the city.
Home Truths:
No smoking, pets, or parties! This apartment is set over 4 floors. Being so tantalisingly close to Putney Bridge Station means you can just hear the soft rumble of the Tube as it crosses the river. Part of a secure, gated apartment complex, there's a communal garden and parking on request. One room (not pictured) will be locked with no access.
