We loved our stay, we just did not plan well enough over the weekend for extra washcloths and coffee. Staff is not available after 5pm, our mistake tho, as we were gone all dsy every day.

We were disappointed with our experience at River Ridge Cottages. The property itself is beautiful, and the river setting is lovely, but the hospitality did not match the location. Before our stay, I spoke to management to ask about having a family BB and followed up with a text that I never received a response to. Assuming it wouldn’t be an issue, several family members stopped by. While there were about 14 people total, they were simply sitting by the river, playing yard games, and enjoying time together. There was no excessive noise, no loud music, and no damage to the property. Instead of discussing the situation with us, management came over and required our family—including our daughter—to leave the property immediately because they were not registered overnight guests. The interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and unwelcoming, especially after our attempt to communicate in advance went unanswered.

Such an amazing place! Clean, cozy and amazing views! Staff was great too! We already have another stay scheduled this Fall with River Ridge Cottages!

Cabin 5 is the best - next to the river. It is also under renonvation but everthing works except the microwave.

The property is right by the river where you can enjoy the sounds of nature and its beauty. The cabin is comfortable and super clean. Communication with staff was excellent. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting by the river with mountain peak views. Convenient parking near the room. Spacious room with table, couch, stove, micro, sink, coffee maker. Helped us save money on preparing food. Couch not facing TV. No decaf coffee! Very convenient checkin and out. Excellent riverside deck & bank with chairs. Excellent location near RMNP & local parks.

Perfect proximity to RMNP, and not too far from downtown Estes park. We really enjoyed walking down to the river to relax.

We made reservations nine days ahead of time. The owner, for some reason, does not give check-in instructions until two hours before check-in. Little does the owner realize that most people coming to Estes Park are coming through the Rocky Mountain NP, where there is little to no signal. Therefore, we could not receive her communication until we exited the park! Then she would not answer multiple phone calls. As a result, we're on the property at 7 pm, tired and hungry, with no solution in sight. Just a horrible experience. Moreover, the cabins didn't really look that impressive from the outside, and were right at the main road.

Our stay was so enjoyable at River Ridge Cottages. Our cabin was beautiful and in good shape. We didn't have any trouble finding it and the property had a comfortable and quiet atmosphere. Check in was a breeze and we were close to town as well as Rocky Mountain National Park. I also appreciate the affordability for the good quality cabin we were given. I highly recommend River Ridge Cottages. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We stayed in a roadside Cabin and it was a complete disappointment. It’s right off the street, so instead of a peaceful river view you get constant traffic noise. The cabin is old, run-down, and nothing like the description online. The bed was uncomfortable, the bathrooms were tiny, and the showers are so small that you can’t even turn around in them. When we arrived, one bathroom sink faucet was leaking, one toilet barely flushed and felt like it was about to overflow, and the kitchen faucet didn’t work properly either. The manager brushed it off, saying a previous guest broke the faucet and that rain caused the toilet issue—seriously? We asked for a refund and were told it couldn’t be done. We didn’t even stay the full two nights we paid for—we left the very next morning. The only reason we booked here was because of the high ratings, which honestly makes no sense. Maybe other cabins are better, but Cabin #7 is dated and in need of updating and maintenance. Avoid it.

The pictures and description were misleading, not cottages on the river. No heat there was a space heater that did nothing, had to turn on the stove for heat. For the price is was outdated. The worst thing was whatever insects were eating us alive in the bed. Looked for signs of bed bugs and did not see anything but the little black specs of digested blood on the sheets both mornings were concerning. Left itchy and unsure about what we might be bringing home so we took extra precautions.

Loved the location, an easy drive to the national park and situated by a babbling stream. The kitchen was fully equipped for us to cook at home, and there was even outside seating so we could enjoy our meal by the stream.
