A brand new hotel

Our junior suite (and all rooms) was entirely new. In fact it is a new hotel in a minimalistic modern decoration, with home automations (lights, wifi/ethernet wall sockets, door opening system), dishwasher, coffee maker (all new). Even it is located on busy avenue inside the room there in no noise at all. All hotel employees and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Junior suite had a bedroom with 2 single beds and living room with a sofa-bed enough for two adults. Each room had a big led TV. Free parking for our car. We had a very pleasent stay.

Here’s a polished review you could post: We had a fantastic stay at Forte16. The staff were absolutely exceptional throughout our visit – welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help with anything we needed. The parking experience was excellent and made arriving and exploring Florence by car completely stress-free, which is a real bonus. Our room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. We especially enjoyed the pool, which was a great place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Overall, a wonderful hotel with outstanding service. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend Forte16 to anyone visiting Florence.

Limited parking with great valet service. Upon entering reception you are greeted by friendly staff who swiftly process your check in and offer helpful suggestions for dining and sightseeing. Staff also have a great knowledge of the public transport network in the area and help guid you on where to get the bus. Swimming pool was nice and clean, and fairly quiet even with a few kids in it during the late afternoon. There is also a sauna and steam room available for use. The room we had was clean, big, and already cooled down for us. Bedding was clean and fresh, and so were the towels. There is adequate cupboard space with plenty of hanging, but the smaller cupboards were too high for daily use. Only thing was that there was not enough shelving in the bathroom for putting toilettries. There was just enough space by the sink for our toothbrushes. The toilet was a little too close to the corner wall and the shower, which allowed for a bigger open space when entering the bathroom. Both the kitchen and the bathroom had very large windows. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom so you have to open the window to let the steam out. Problem with that was that it allowed for mosquitos to get in and bite us :-( The rooftop terrace was lovely as well. I recommend grabbing a couple of beers from reception and heading up there whilst the wife gets ready for evening dinner! I didn't get a chance to use the rooftop jacuzzi but that would have been nice if kids weren't with us.

I am thrilled to write a review about this hotel. Perhaps one of the best gems we've found during our European travels. The hotel is small and quiet, and sits just outside the over-trodden touristy areas of Florence. We found that it was a convenient walk into the city center though! Much better than the poor tourists pushing and dragging their luggage over the cobblestones to the hotels in city center. This hotel offered great security, including underground parking and a reasonable valet fee. The pool and spa are glorious! Well maintained and comfortable without being ostentatious. The breakfast was amazing, great choices and variety and all freshly prepared. The hotel does not have a restaurant for dinner, however we did not mind it at all, with so many great eateries nearby, and front desk staff willing to make recommendations and reservations for us. Our room was large, with a kitchenette and refrigerator and comfortable sleeping for a family of three.

This hotel is located a little off the beaten path, but it offers convenient access to both the bus routes serving many of the area's top attractions and the train station, which was very helpful during our stay. The property is well maintained, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The rooftop area offers beautiful sunset views, while the pool and sauna were a nice added touch. One thing to note is that some of the photos may give the impression that the rooftop hot tub is available for general guest use. In reality, it is a private rental, so keep that in mind if that amenity is a deciding factor for your stay. The experience is a little more rugged and independent than a traditional hotel, but that was not a problem for us. Overall, we had no complaints and would happily stay here again.

We stayed one short night here between travel days and found the apartment very comfortable for our family of 4. They were able to provide a crib & had the pull out couch set up as a bed. The room was large, clean, and spacious with great air conditioning. They kindly held our luggage for us after check out & let us use the pool for a few hours, which was amazing! Super friendly staff too. We didn’t explore town from here much, but it seems like it would be quite a walk to the main attractions. But it was the perfect place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Trevlig personal och fint stort rum. Var en del ljud från den stora gatan utanför, där det dessutom pågick stort arbete, men inget stort problem för den som inte är ljudkänslig. Kul att det fanns spa, men ganska litet och kändes inte helt fräscht.

Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Kühlschrank. Mikrowelle und zwei Kochplatten. Im Bad war die Spartaste der Toilettenspülung defekt und die Regendusche hat nicht funktioniert. Schön war die Möglichkeit Wäsche zu waschen, allerdings auch etwas teuer (4€ pro Waschgang bzw. Trockengang). Die Dachterrasse bietet einen schönen Blick auf den Dom, allerdings auch enorm viele Schnaken. Das Schwimmbad ist klein, Massagedüsen haben wir keine entdeckt. Leider ist es ab 18h für Kinder gesperrt, so dass Familien sich zwischen Sightseeing und Bad entscheiden müssen. Die Wellness-Abteilung war während unserer Anwesenheit nicht besucht.

I would actually give this a 4.5. It was great, but not perfect. It did fit our needs well. The indoor pool is actually great. My problem with indoor pools is ventilation - I hate the smell of chlorine in the air. They have done a decent job ventilating the spa area. They have put effort into aesthetics, and it really helps. The mood is relaxing (though there are plenty of families - but the kids seem to get that it is a tranquil environment. The room is nice. The area is convenient - it is out of the primary tourist area. You can go across the main boulevard and be right in the thick of the tourist sites, or you can go into the area behind the hotel, where locals live. I love this access to both. We went to a wonderful grocery store around the corner and bought wine, cheese, salami, etc. and had a picnic on the terrace. The hotel has some really nice outdoor, common space, on the top floor. The views are nice and it is well appointed with comfortable seating. The days in Florence were hot, when we were there - in the 90s and we loved coming back to the spa to unwind. I would stay there again.

Well situated for accessing the city. Due to our arrival time, we didn’t get to use the spa or enjoy breakfast. Room was spacious but could do with a fresh coat of paint. Disappointed that the extensive construction work around the hotel wasn’t disclosed at time of booking meaning that we needed to find alternative parking arrangements - the hotel notified us a couple of days before only.
