Character chateau

It was such a privilege to stay in this chateau which was full of character. The renovations are work in progress and we struggled with some of the showers. Outdoor furniture would have been a bonus as the weather was fine. Host was generous with firewood for open fires. Overall a very enjoyable stay in beautiful surroundings.

Not as seemed

The Chateau looked amazing in the images and from outside when we arrived looked stunning. Unfortunately the rooms some bedrooms needed work with damp, mould and wall paper piling off which isn’t an issue as you can see the building is old. The property looked like it had not be touched or lived in for years. My main problem was the nests of creatures that was living amongst us and sleeping with us. I called the owner to look into these things and sent a man on the last day to be told the property has a hornet nest which is very dangerous as these can kill someone. On top of that a spiders nest, and other nest of creatures that would need us to leave the property for them to remove. Myself and a few of my party have been bitten very badly and need to seek medical treatment. This chateau had so much potential but unfortunately our stay was not very pleasant at all. Also the internet is not strong enough to reach all the rooms so it was very hard to connect too.

Superbe chateau pour passer un séjour entre amis

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour chez Florence. Les indications étaient claires et notre arrivée au château a été très simple grâce à l'accueil qui nous a été réservé. Le château est spacieux et l'extérieur est splendide. Il y avait tout pour passer un super moment entre amis. Je recommande!

Bel endroit parfait pour une fête de famille

Un château en cours de restauration, offrant néanmoins un confort moderne au plan sanitaire, permettant d'accueillir un groupe familial,de 12 couples (6 chambres) +7 jeunes en 2 dortoirs (hors maison annexe). Environnement du magnifique parc exceptionnel sans aucune nuisance. Accueil attentionné de la gestionnaire locale. Activités diversifiées dans un rayon de 30/40km.

Très bel endroit

Nous avions loué pour les cousinades annuelles et n’avons pas été déçu par ce magnifique château et son parc. 8 grandes chambres et presque autant de salles de bains nous n’étions pas à l’étroit à 11 adultes et 7 enfants. L’accueil et le départ flexible sont un plus. À visiter le village de Apremont-sur-Allier !

Leben wie Gott in Frankreich

Viel Landschaft und wenig Menschen, ideal um mal "runterzukommen". Im Schloss blättert ein wenig die Farbe, das tut seinem Charme aber keinen Abbruch. Die Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet, für unsere 16-Köpfige Gruppe gut geeignet. 4 Wohnzimmer / Säle sind mehr als wir benutzen konnten. Das Highlight war der Park mit riesiger Wiese.

Wonderful!

We booked this property almost a year in advance, and had high expectations! All through the Covid months leading up to it we kept hoping and were absolutely delighted to be able to enjoy the most amazing week, with all our expectations met. The property, chateau and enormous grounds were perfect for adults and children alike. The chateau is a work in progress and suited us beautifully. It was a feast for the eyes.

Fabuleux séjour dans un lieu magique

Notre séjour au chateau de Chalivoy a été un moment magnifique, autant grâce à la magie de l'endroit qu'à l'amabilité et l'accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire Florence et de Catherine qui nous a montré les lieux. Le lieu est tout simplement superbe et le château et son parc semblent avoir une vraie âme. Les chambres sont très confortables et le chateau était impeccable à notre arrivée. Très bien équipé en vaisselle, machines à laver, plats et tout ce que l'on peut espérer pour un grand groupe. Très belles salles de reception mais aussi grande tables à l'extérieur dans un jardin tout simplement magnifique pour prendre ses repas dehors. Un endroit magique et hors du temps où nous espérons pouvoir retourner un jour !

Espace, nature et déconnexion !

Beau château 19ème dans un grand parc. Les chambres sont grandes et confortables et les espaces de vie pratiques et agréables. Le tout est très bien tenu. Attention : pas de wifi et on capte mal, pour nous c’était très bien, mais pour d’autres ça peut être un frein :) Le parc est vraiment agréable avec des arbres magnifiques ! On était 6 adultes et 12 enfants et on a tous été ravis ! On se sentait vraiment chez nous ! Un très grand merci aux propriétaires, et bon courage pour la suite des travaux !

Un séjour magique

Un lieu magnifique, commode et confortable, au creux des arbres pluricentenaires, vous passerez un séjour heureux. Les propriétaires et leur équipe sont adorables, le château est proche de toutes les magasins et services dont on peut avoir besoin tout en restant au calme. Nous reviendrons :)
