About the host
Hosted by Maria Vidalis
I grew up in Athens and the USA but my ancestral home, the place where my heart lives, is Tinos. We restored the original animal shelters below our family home in this charming Greek village of Dio Choria this year & have welcomed guests from all over Greece & the rest of the world since May, 2019. I work with Emma & Nikos from Aegean Dream BnB to manage my property and ensure your stay is not only worry free but something special and unique. Here's some recent reviews from our guests;
"The apartment was clean, cute and very well equipped! Hot water from sustainable solar source, AC (which is not needed because the room is so cool even in August!), comfortable beds. Our host, Maria, made us feel very welcomed into her home, Emma & Nikos gave us a great list of recommendations - honest, authentic & special things, not touristic at all. There is an amazing restaurant at the bottom of the village." Alex - (UK)
"Thank you Emma & Maria for the memorable stay. The cottage is amazing for 4 people with great amenities & just 2mins walk from the plateia. The welcome from Emma was really personal and very good info for the island/places to visit." Giorgos (GREECE)

Why they chose this property
Pick local figs from all over the village in Summer, wild oregano from the mountain behind us or attend a local Tinian wedding in the square! Everything you ever dreamed of from a traditional Greek village can come true here in Dio Choria. Drink wine, eat fresh home grown classic greek food at the taverna or modern continental food at the local wine bar/cafe in the square while taking in that world famous view. With 2 Churches and 5 family chapels you can enjoy the Venetian and the Orthodox traditional architecture and even visit a local family chapel for a real slice of village life.
Exploring Tinos by car is the optimum way to experience all her many treasures. There are buses that travel throughout Tinos and the bus stop is on the road at the bottom of the village, however they are every 1-2hrs so patience is required. Ask us for timetables. Walking through the village up and down winding lanes is a true delight and must be enjoyed during your stay. You can also walk from village to village with relative ease.
