This charming 17th century mid terraced cottage can be found perfectly positioned a stone’s throw from the centre of thriving Padiham. Upon arrival you’ll find the cottage is homely and inviting with beautiful wisteria set above the front door, which once you step through you won’t be disappointed. Jam packed full of character downstairs you’ll find stone flag flooring, beamed ceilings, and a cast iron multifuel stove beautifully set within an inglenook chimney breast. Upstairs the master bedroom is incredibly spacious, and the shower room has a wonderfully unique walk-in design.
Wherever you look modern day features and conveniences have been beautifully blended with original character and the result is simply stunning. Four legged companions are also more than welcome with the rear garden fully enclosed meaning you can truly relax during the warm summer months. Padiham is a picturesque town on the edge of the Ribble Valley, with the River Calder weaving through it.
You’ll find ample pubs and restaurants together with green space and beautiful riverside walks. It’s also home to the National Trusts Gawthorpe Hall, which is a superb Jacobean historic house nestled in the shadow of Pendle Hill. Walkers are well catered for in the area with an abundance of routes for all abilities available in the surrounding countryside, including to the top of the afore mentioned Pendle Hill. Here the views stretch out right across the Ribble Valley, and you can even see the Yorkshire Peaks and Fylde Coast out in the distance on a clear day.
Cycling enthusiasts will love the winding country lanes and secure bike storage is available at the cottage. Nearby the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached in around 20 minutes and the Yorkshire Dales National Park in around half an hour. Swapping the countryside for coast Blackpool and Lytham St Anne can be reached in under an hour as can the bright lights of the city of Manchester.
