Cosy studio in scenic area - 15 min from rafting on Great River

The studio annex for rent is located at the rear of the house, with a gorgeous scenic view looking over the lush green hills in the distance. The green hills reserve their best work providing an amazing backdrop whilst the sun is setting. Guests benefit from stillness of being up in the hills, but only a 30 minute drive from Montego bay Airport and famous hip-strip, 15 minutes from rafting on the great river and 1 Hour from the 7 mile long beach in Negril its makes a good base for guests who are looking for a slower paced getaway in Jamaica.

Myself (Gloria) and my husband (Caff) of 47 years married, retired to our amazing island in 2008, after living in the UK for over 40 years. The urge to move back home, build our family house, slow down and enjoy life was too much to resist.

We now spend our time hanging out at the beach, going for meals, exploring the different parishes in Jamaica and just cherishing the slower pace of life

We would like to take this time to welcome you to our family home and to the small but mighty island of Jamaica which is best captured in the Jamaican proverb “Wi likkle but we tallawah”.

Why they chose this property

Constructed in 2010 with sustainability and self sufficiency being part of the planning process. The house is situated in the quiet and sunny hills’ in the parish of Hanover, Jamaica. The house is built from Quad-lock that keeps the house cool therefore reducing the need for fans and A/C, fully powered by solar power, 4x filtered rain water is used throughout the house and a onsite compost used as soil for fruits and plants located on the property.

The house is a reflection and symbol of our lives working together. Myself and Caff are very proud of the family home we have build, a house which truly feels like our own as we had a hand in every inch it.

What makes this property unique

The stillness of the area and the hills in the distance really bring such a peaceful feel. Which we both love along with family and friends when they come to visit.

The hammock under the mango tree is another really good space to relax, be alone with your thoughts and just chill out
