About the host
Hosted by Jeanne
We are a family of 6, with 4 children aged between 10 and 18 years old. Summer is the time for us to visit our families abroad, so we are happy to rent our comfortable family house to guests for a countryside holiday. Our friends Lynsey and Andrew are looking after our house for us while away and are accessible any time if needed.
Why they chose this property
Because it is our main home, you will immediately have the welcomed feeling of being at home yourself, not like a property set up for lettings only. For example, the kitchen is fully equipped with anything needed for all types of cooking, from a steamer to a blender, baking utensils, all sizes of pots and pans, plenty of cutlery and dishes.
The house is located in a lovely rural area of South Somerset. You will wake up with the song of birds, and go to bed under a sky full of stars and the perfect peace and quiet. Often, you can see dears in the field behind the house, as well as rabbits, foxes and badgers. Nonetheless, the house is close to all necessary amenities, within a 10min drive.

What makes this property unique
You have the solely access to a large field and wood, where you can build dens or explore wildlife. Personally, on nice summer days, we like to gather some wood and roast sausages and marshmallows, having our own wild BBQ party in the field and shielding in the log cabin to listen to some music or playing games once it gets a bit too cold outside. We had many great outdoor family birthday parties!
