Pool Villa Little Heaven, Oštarije, Croatia

A contemporary house, in the heart of nature, with fantastic facilities, this is a wonderful retreat for a family holiday or a group of friends.

Spread over three floors, the house sleeps 8 people in comfort. The spacious, airy ground floor has a large living room with an open-plan kitchen. The sitting area has 2 sofas and an armchair, next to a fireplace, with a flatscreen TV. Glass doors lead out to the modern loggia. With a large dining table and open grill, guests can enjoy lunch semi-al fresco, looking out over the swimming pool. Indoors, there is another dining table for 8 (which converts into a pool table) next to the well-equipped fitted kitchen. The kitchen has a cooker hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and coffee machine.

In addition to the private swimming pool, guests can enjoy their own sauna and jacuzzi, plus a gym, on the third floor. The garden has been created with as much attention to detail as the interiors. There is ample terracing around the swimming pool, with sun loungers and parasols for guests to use. Children have lots of room to play and two swings. The garden also has an organic vegetable patch for guests’ use.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The first bedroom, with a pitched, beamed ceiling, has wooden floors and a wooden, king-size, double bed with a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, air conditioning and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: Similar to the first bedroom, this room also has an attractive beamed ceiling, a wooden, king-size, double bed, flat screen TV, air conditioning, a large wardrobe and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 3: This airy bedroom has a wooden, king-size, double bed, flat screen TV, wardrobe, air conditioning and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4: Another fresh, bright bedroom with a wooden, king-size, double bed, flat screen TV, air conditioning, a wardrobe and an en suite bathroom.

Bathrooms
All the brand-new, en suite bathrooms have a glass shower, wash basin and WC.
Extra: There is a separate WC on the ground floor.

Location
On the edge of the village of Ostarije, in quiet countryside, just an hour’s drive from the coast, this house can offer visitors the best of all worlds, at any time of year. Surrounded by nature, there are plenty of activities nearby, including river swimming between waterfalls or kayaking on the pristine Mreznica River. The UNESCO-protected Plitvice Lakes National Park is just 50 minutes away. Visitors cannot swim in the lakes but there are many stunning hiking trails through the park, plus boat trips.

The town of Senj (1 hour) is on the Adriatic coast. The town is 3000 years old and famous for Nehaj Castle and its beaches, it makes an ideal day trip. The capital city, Zagreb (1 hour 20 mins), is well worth a visit, with its many museums; beautiful cathedral; a daily market (opens 6.30 am) selling the freshest local produce, ideal for self-catering, and even a flea market (Sundays) in Britanski trg.
