Sleeping up to four guests, Jenkin Lodge is a comfortable and spacious holiday home from which you make the most of this beautiful area. The ground floor features a contemporary kitchen, quality appliances including washing machine, dishwasher, and coffee machine. It has a high spec finish and large dining table, perfect for a hearty breakfast before a day of adventure. The bathroom features an electric shower over the bathtub. Also, on the ground floor you will find a twin-bedded room with 4ft double beds, so plenty of room no matter how old the guests. The first floor is home to the master bedroom, featuring a king size bed and great views, there plenty of storage and hanging space in the hallway too. The showstopper at this property, is the stunning living area, it is spacious, well-furnished and has the most amazing panoramic fell views. The large window floods this space with plenty of natural light and it is a joy to sit, relax and enjoy the splendour and peace and quiet all around you.
Outside you will find parking for two cars as well as a patio with dining table and chairs, seating and wonderful views. Here you can dine al-fresco, surrounded by nature. It is ideal for a beer or a glass of chilled wine as you enjoy the sun for most of the day. Jenkin Lodge boasts an elevated position within the desirable village of Thornthwaite near Keswick. The area is famous for spotting red squirrels. Fed by the locals, these indigenous creatures are often seen scurrying through the branches and in and around the garden.
You are just 3-miles from the vibrant Lake District town of Keswick, which is brimming with great restaurants, pubs serving local craft ales, an excellent range of shopping experiences and some memorable tourist attractions. If you fancy something a bit different, then why not visit The Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the world’s largest pencil.
