St Tinney is a beautiful 34 acre, private rural country estate, located in north Cornwall close to the sea and some of the best sandy and surfing beaches in the UK, an area famous for its dramatic coastline, sandy beaches, surfing hot spots, picturesque harbours and wild romantic moors.
Nestled on the edge of the tiny, ancient rural hamlet of Otterham, featured in the Doomsday book of 1086, St. Tinney is grounded in history, a tranquil haven for wildlife, a peaceful and relaxing family run retreat, where a warm welcome awaits.
The stunning local area has featured in many films, televisions dramas and commercials, made famous by the writings of Thomas Hardy & Daphne du Maurier, in more recent times the subject of filming locations for Doc Martin & Poldark.
Our extensive private, country estate has 5 fishing lakes, fee of charge Games Room, children’s adventure play areas & nature trails. Guests are free to roam the grounds and may encounter a variety of local wildlife including deer, badgers, otters, foxes, buzzards, owls & kingfishers.
We also have a heated swimming pool, cosy ‘Country pub’ bar serving great locally produced food and drink every evening. We are very honoured to be rated 5 star by our visitors & awarded a "Certificate of Excellence" by Trip Advisor, which puts us in the top 10% of their best holiday destinations.
Although quietly situated, we are close to the Cornwall/Devon border & within easy reach of the main road and motorway network, approximately 1 hour 45 minutes drive from Bristol, 3 hours from Birmingham & 3.5 hours from London. Our nearest airport is Newquay, our nearest train station is Bodmin Parkway, both approximately 35 minutes drive.

About the host
Hosted by Host
There are currently three generations of the Windley family living on our beautiful North Cornish private estate. St Tinney Farm was previously a dairy farm and started to offer holidays after the Second World War.
We have been here for 30 years evolving the business to meet the needs of the modern holidaymaker and resident wildlife. The natural environment has always been a family passion and we are supported by friends such as Cornwall Wildlife Trust & the Hawk and Owl Trust in providing welcoming habitats for our native flora and fauna.
We offer a warm and friendly welcome to guests in our high quality self catering accommodation.
Make sure you take a stroll around beautiful Boscastle and the long stretch of award winning beach at Widemouth! For the energetic, we are very close to the amazing coastal path where you may be lucky enough to spot seals, dolphins and occasional whales.
