Winchester has an abundance of independent shops and boutiques, and the town has many regular street markets. For walkers, the city offers great options, from central walks surrounded by stunning architecture, to those on the edge of the city - Enjoy the idyllic Winnall Moors Nature Reserve, or the spectacular views from St. Giles Hill or St Catherine's Hill. Winchester also marks the start of the 100 mile South Downs Way.

The New Forest is around 18 miles miles distant and there are several beaches within an hour's drive.
