About this property

Ivystone king room with Countryside views

The Ivystone Room is a North Wing bedroom of Bossington Hall B&B, with calm woodland and moorland views. The Kingsize Iron framed bed with 1000 spring pillow topped mattress will ensure a blissful night’s sleep. Every room has the little extras you come to expect, fluffy bath robes, crisply pressed linen, fluffy white towels, hairdryer, fresh milk in your fridge, and even cotton wool on the dressing table.

Your ensuite bathroom, with rolltop bath and shower over, has a wonderful view from the elevated bath of the rolling hills. Robes and slippers are provided. Ivystone has a 50″ Smart TV, USB charging points, Bluetooth DAB radio, and complementary hospitality tray. Champagne and bouquets of flowers are available at extra cost. .
An Edwardian Gentleman's residence, built in the Arts and Crafts style, by a shipping CEO in 1911 and extended in 1923 for his Grandchildren.

Porlock village with its pubs, shops, tea rooms, museums and restaurants is just a mile's easy walk away from our award winning B and B. Or why not take a hearty 45 minute walk along to coast to Porlock Weir's tiny harbour, again with pubs, shops and restaurants?

Every room has a very unique character; Heddon Master room is truly vast, with dual aspect views, Greenaleigh has a private lounge, Embercombe is one of our dog friendly rooms, alongside Martinhoe.

In the North wing are Ivystone, with a roll-top bath, and two en-suites, Jennifrieds and Longpool. All our rooms are named from local waters, and there is a framed description in each room.

Allerford View is our apartment, which is level access, and has its own page, as well as its own entrance.

A tranquil and serene location, perfect for your staycation weekend, or a walker’s base to explore the Somerset scenery along the South West Coast Path or Coleridge Way.

Relax after a long day with our Honesty Bar and read a book from our little library while enjoying the view, or enjoy the Sauna, whatever the weather. Just 5 miles to Minehead by road gives you long sandy beaches and a great Links Golf Course.

Practical elements like a Boot Room by the front door and Dog Towels will ensure a seamless break. Outside, you have eight acres of informal garden, a mill pond, shallow river, waterfall, and woodland to explore. Boasting expansive lawned areas, tennis and badminton courts & the oldest private Squash court (Grade II listed) in England.

Inside we even a private honesty bar, a touchscreen coffee machine (cappuccinos etc) so you may enjoy a glass of something in the picture window of the warm, comfortable lounge so even an inclement day will be wonderful.
