About the host
Hosted by Beth Thornton
Hi, I'm Beth! I own a small collection of holiday homes in York, Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby, and I am completely passionate about them, and the enjoyment of my guests.
My family and I live in the countryside outside York and we have a dog called Tigger and three ducks, Genevieve, Duckie and Nugget. We are all happiest in the outdoors, particularly my rugby playing children, and we all love chocolate!

Why they chose this property
Seapink Cottage is located right in the centre of town, so everything is closeby and literally seconds or minutes walk away! However what makes it really special is that it's hidden away in a lovely quiet courtyard, so is peaceful and guests are able to enjoy the calm. The cottage is unusually well proportioned and spacious with generous room proportions. The layout works really well and thee are two bathrooms, so no queuing for a shower. It has parking nearby in West Cliff car park, which even in peak season has always had sufficient spaces for guests, unlike the car park near the train station. The beach is just couple of minute's stroll away! Our south facing patio which has sufficient seating for 8 guests, and it provides the opportunity to sit out and enjoy the sea air.
What makes this property unique
This stunning fishermen's cottage was once a coaching inn and is steeped in history and original features, such as the lovely old fireplace, 17th century panelling, and many other quirks you will only find with a property of this age. The rooms are very welcome proportioned and the cottage has a really lovely, welcoming feel to it. You will love your stay here!
