About this property
6 Bed Family holiday home away from home close to attractions and amenities
Spacious rooms, great communal spaces for those precious times together, a large gourmet kitchen to rustle up family favourites with a range of tools and appliances and a lovely dining room just off the kitchen with views over the secluded garden. Fresh linens in every room and clean towels in 3.5 bathrooms and lots of space and privacy with one ensuite room downstairs. Come as a family or a couple of families - the house was built for enjoyment with family and friends!
4 double bedrooms to begin with which will cater for a few couples plus two single rooms with sofa beds so that the rooms can be flexibly used as a play space for little ones or a chill-out zone as needed but can double up as sleeping areas in the night time for additional guests or for children.
The master bedroom has an ensuite while there is another double bedroom on the ground floor which is also an ensuite. Guests not in either room will share the large family bathroom on the first floor with a shower and bath as well as and the WC toilet on the ground floor.
Set in a highly desirable suburb of London, this house is 20 - 30 mins away from the center of London and all the attractions you could want via public transport which is a stone's throw away either at the tube station or with numerous buses from the high street.
Leicester Square, Charring Cross, Kings Cross and Tottenham Court Road stations are all quick to get to on the Northern Line, with Oxford Street, Bond Street and Soho, all a quick interchange away from the Northern Line, while locally there is a huge amount to do.
Replete with amenities, here's a great spot in Greater London to stay in. Restaurants and eateries abound from Michael's, just down the road, for a lovely breakfast or brunch or Vero Caffe across the road, after which you can take in some pampering and hairdressing at Indulgence Salon, right across the road. If you have little ones, take them to the wonderful children's playground, across the road from that!
San Giorgio, Cocorico and Sofalino are honourable Italian restaurants you will love.
If Middle Eastern food is your thing, Izgara Restaurant, Palmiye Restaurant, Maya Lounge, Beheste Barin and Darchin are among some of the best.
Gastropubs abound - The Arkley Pub, The Orange Tree Pub, Haven Bistro and so on. The best Japanese food anywhere in the world can be found at Nippon Izkaya - don't let the relatively humble surroundings fool you! Across the road from there is Ai Sushi for staple sushis with fun presentation, and Sushimania further up the road is a worthy contender.
On the days it's Indian or bust, check out Bayleaf, The Tiffin Tin or the Mala Brasserie. If it's Chinese you fancy, you could do worse than The Good Earth. La Lluna is a wild card Spanish place you might like and El Vaquero, an Argentinian BBQ is a firm favourite of the residents of Finchley and its environs. If all else fails, and you don't feel like stepping out, get on Just Eat and Deliveroo to get something delivered, For groceries, there are stalwarts Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsvbury's and Aldi, all in relative proximity and there are 3 Boots the Chemists within a 3 mile radius. Finchley and South Herts Golf courses are close by as is a Pure Gym for a quick workout.
The Arts Depot is wonderful for stand-up comedy and plays - check out what's on in advance of your trip and book early to avoid disappointment. Of course, there are local chains like McDonald's and KFC when you don't want to be fussed.
London's attractions like the Tower of London, Madame Tussauds, the British Museum, the RAF Museum, the London Eye and fab places to eat and drink at the Shard are not to be missed. Local attractions are Barnet Museum and Kenwood House.
