Region: From rolling countryside to historic cathedral cities and traditional seaside resorts, Lincolnshire offers a peaceful alternative to the discerning holidaymaker.

Town: Pilham is a small hamlet in the heart of rural Lincolnshire that sits in between the villages of Blyton and Corringham, home to the welcoming pubs of the Black Horse, Blyton, and the Beckett Arms, Corringham, a charming village shop, the wildlife rich Owlet Woodland, Blyton Park Circuit, and Blyton Ice Cream Parlour. Surrounded by open countryside, Pilham is well placed for walking and cycling. The Granary sits on Green Lane, a very quiet lane, perfect for easy dog walks. The property resides a stones's throw from Blyton Racetrack and a short drive from Hemswell Cliff, home to Europe’s largest Antiques Centre. For a wider selection of amenities, head to Gainsborough, where you can dine at Thonock Park Golf Club, The Hickman Hill hotel, the Caldero Lounge, Bar 17, Prezzo and Cream, in Marshall’s Yard. In the town centre there are other notable restaurants including the Moonlight Tandoori and the Clock House Gastro bar. Stock up on essentials at the convenience stores and supermarkets, tour The Gainsborough Heritage Centre and Gainsborough Old Hall, visit the haunted Old Nick Theatre, or test out your swing at the excellent Thonock Park Golf Club. In the opposite direction, the villages of Scotter, Laughton and Kirton Lindsey are home to pubs and a range of take aways, serving good food and drink. Venture further to the University city of Lincoln, with its beautiful cathedral and medieval cobbled streets leading down to the canal with resident swans, The Collection, the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, International Bomber Command Centre, and extensive shopping centre. Those seeking out some retail therapy can venture further to Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield, whilst others can check out The Deep and Streetlife Museum in Hull, or the stunning coast at Cleethorpes.
