Town: Walton-on-the-Naze is an historic seaside town on the Essex coast offering everything from bird watching to sea fishing. Every Thursday there is a market that offers local produce, fish, flowers and plants. There are also plenty of pubs and restaurants, including those selling the famous "pie and mash" of Old London - something to satisfy everyone's taste in this historic town. For the young at heart there is the Walton-on-the-Naze pier which offers all day entertainment for a one-off price, home to one of the largest undercover funfairs in East Anglia. Why not take a boat trip to watch the seals resting on the mud banks or for the more adventurous, take a fishing trip where you can catch Skate, Cod or Sea Bass, when in season. The cliffs at Walton-on-the-Naze form one of the finest geological sites in Britain and are classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. With plenty of historic houses within easy driving distance, sea fishing, golf courses and cycle rides, as well as everything that a thriving seaside town can offer, Walton-on-the-Naze is a perfect location for a holiday break on the Essex coast.
