About the host
Hosted by Gavin Pitchford
The company I founded in 1992 does 2 things: We are the leading executive search firm in Canada for "green professionals". From Chief Sustainability Officers to Building Automation Systems Engineers, climate advocates and Responsible Investment / ESG investment professionals, no other firm has our reach. www.DeltaManagement.com
Nine years ago we started an award program to identify, recognize, and most importantly, to connect 50 individual sustainability and environmental leaders from every segment of society across all of Canada, and we annually convene the new incoming awardees and connect them with each other and with past winners at the "Clean50 Summit", held each year in late September or early October, with the goal of driving collaboration between them. We've succeeded in many ways. It's incredibly cool! Check out www.clean50.com
Beyond that... I started coming to the Cape with my family as a 14 year old and a 12 hour drive from Toronto. Fell in love, and at 17 spent the summer teaching sailing at the Harwich Port / Wychmere Harbour based "Stone Horse Yacht Club". My best friend that summer lived a block from Seawind - which did not then exist, but was a vacant lot. Came back year after year - and swore I would buy a place as soon as I could. Got lucky when the market crashed in 93 and Seawind was then available - but not so lucky when it became "marital property" under Canadian law and then I had to buy half of it from my ex, sadly at market peak in 2002...
I still sail extensively in Toronto, and with luck, in 2020, also in Cape Cod, as we will occasionally visit this summer, and live on our boat in nearby Saquatucket - and perhaps have a chance to meet you and take you for a sail.
Most important thing about me for you to know is how determined I am to ensure you and your kids enjoy Cape Cod as much as I have for the past 40+ years. You'll find me helpful and incredibly responsive should anything come up.

Why they chose this property
Seawind offers literally a perfect blend of everything you want in a vacation home away from home.
It's comfortable everywhere - the living space, the bedrooms, the mattresses and pillows, the sofas, the back deck. Air conditioned, lots of TVs, oversized laundry tubs.
It's close to everything - the ideal location for proximity to a relatively quiet and uncrowded beach close enough you can hear it - only a 4 minute walk, and matched by proximity to town: 8 minutes walk to 3 great bars, 5 great restaurants, awesome sandwiches, cafes and the best pizza on the Cape.
And even though you are in the midst of lots of people and close to everything... the trees and lot size make it feel like you have your own secluded home away from everything.
The area has LOTS of kids for your kids to play with - or not: a secluded lot that offers lots of trees and privacy, and room for your kids to run and play without dealing with - or even seeing - traffic or having the kids be out of your sight.
And it's pretty guilt free and low carbon: After you have shopped for groceries, you can almost park the car and never use it until you need to leave, plus you're using green electricity and recycling.
