Each Floor has two bedrooms and a full bath. A room off the kitchen acts as a separate dining area. The house is bright and airy with an updated feel and contemporary flair. Amenities include 50" smart TV, Internet, Washer, Dryer, Linens, Comforters, Bath Towels, Blankets, Kitchen Supplies, Grill, Windowed Air Conditioning. The owner/property manager lives locally and is just a phone call away.

The house is located in the heart of Fairfield beach where there is a friendly mix of locals and summer vacationers. Walk to public tennis courts, or stroll to Penfield Beach with lifeguards on duty (applicable hours), a snack bar, pavilion and playground. Step around the block and grab a bite, play pool or listen to music at Fairfield's one and only iconic beach pub. 5 minute drive to I-95, the Fairfield train station and town center booming with shops, restaurants, a Sportsplex, Sunday green market and live events. Easy drive (10-25 minutes) to the CT Audubon Society, Lake Mohegan, scenic Southport, historic Westport, golf, theaters, skating, bowling, the Discovery Museum, Planetarium and Adventure Park and the Beardsley Zoo. Fairfield has everything but if that isn't enough, a day in New York City is just a train ride away.

We moved from NYC to Fairfield CT in 2015 with our young son. We love living in a beach and university community, and by being in CT, we get the added benefit of being close to family and reconnecting with old friends. CT was calling since Peter also owns and operates the Seagrape which is just behind the rental property. As small business owners, personal attention to the space and guests mean everything to our livelihood. We take great care in decorating the house so that it feels like home to anyone who walks through the door. Comfort and a fresh style at an affordable price are what we seek to offer. The house is modest but inviting; we are humble hosts who hope you love your stay and create lasting memories that make you smile long after the summer is over.

Why they chose this property

The property is nestled in a row of beach houses that enjoy private walk-in access to the white sand beach on the beautiful Long Island Sound. The interior of the house is bright and airy with lots of windows. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious for a beach bungalow -- big enough to add a blow up mattress. We love that there are two bedrooms on the first floor and two larger bedrooms on the second floor. Bring in a couple of bean bags and one of the bedrooms can easily be used as a lounge for hanging out with friends and family. There is also a room off the kitchen for dining and a back room with the washer dryer and some storage space. The house is truly close to every convenience but at the same time, provides a real beach get-away.

What makes this property unique

We live locally and are happy to work with you in order to ensure the best stay possible. Our handyman lives next to the property so there is never a worry if something needs attention. The interior was painted last summer. The living room and hallway carpet, most blinds and appliances (refrigerator/oven) were installed in July 2019. The living room furniture and beds are super comfortable, clean and stylish. Many of the linens and bath towels will be used for the first time this summer 2020.
