About this property

Gite Wildflower Lane

Built in 2021 Gite Wildflower Lane, is inviting, casual, fresh cool in summer, warm in winter. Your home is attached to, but indépendant from our home. A Mezzanine bedroom has steep stairs, but easy to navigate as have hand rails on both sides. You have your own fenced, private terrace. Bbq table chairs, loungers. Also you have your own space in our large fenced garden, shared with owners and our dog, also with your own seating lounging eating area. Also on hot summer days you can share the owners small, but inviting above ground pool to cool off. If staying for a while you can also share in an aperos evening too :) Inside you have a cosy comfy couch, French /English TV. Full fridge freezer, full kitchen for foodies. Walk in italien shower, separate loo and handbasin. Full size washing machine with a hanging rail for outside. Shady trees surround the garden. Walk 300 metres to the Vezere river and take a canoe along the Vezere, passing chateaux, prehistoric sites, villages stop for lunch. The canoe leaves from our hamlet and at the end of your canoeing, company return you here by bus. Our market riverside town is 4k away, restaurants are as close as 3k away.. arrive at our gite and relax, or take off and explore, you could stay in our area for a month and not see all the sites.

If you bring your dog, please note there are cats in the garden at night. Also if you are not an animal /nature lover this magical hamlet is perhaps not the destination for you. We have only 24 houses in our hamlet 2 of which are working farms. One close by is a walnut farm, making and selling their own delicious walnut oil. It’s a quiet friendly hamlet, there is activity, a few other holiday homes, tractors, dogs, cats, cattle. Amazing sunrises and sunsets, starry starry nights, owls and other night birds calling. Our local town Montignac has a music festival in July and there are night markets with music, food wine, in surrounding villages all july and august. Fabulous traditional country side auberges for fabulous Perigoudine lunches as well as as beautiful still traditional fine dining restaurants for lunch and dinner.
