Conveniently located in Franconia Village (pop 1100), steps away from a local gourmet grocer, deli, a coffee shop, and restaurants, this property offers a comfortable yet convenient escape to enjoy the charm of this New England town. Whether you walk from the property or drive to Franconia Notch State Park, you can experience nature and all its activities - biking, rock climbing, trail hiking, frisbee golf, horseback riding, and lake fun, in minutes.

Welcome in from the private front porch and the gurgle of Gale River across the street. You'll find the kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary and cleaning needs, and includes a backyard propane barbecue for summer months. From baking cookies to a crockpot dinner, coffee maker to blender, you've got the tools.

The home is equipped with a full-size LG stacked washer-dryer, a second-floor (2nd) TV, CD/Radio stereo, alarm clocks, iron, WiFi, pillows, and starter soaps/paper goods. We've even included some outdoor "camping" chairs you can bring to Echo Lake.

Each room is equipped with heaters featuring individual thermostats; bedrooms feature window air conditioning in summer.

This is a triplex property with a communal, owner-maintained yard. Quiet is key - we keep the peace requesting barking dogs stay at home and requiring dog waste be promptly removed. No parties are ever allowed.

We're a west coast family and Franconia is the place we like to be. It's a hometown return, whose returns were once obligated by family, but now we're loving the joys of the North Country's natural beauty, the simplicity of small town life and, perhaps most, the joy of being amongst the friends who are family.

Why they chose this property

So many reasons, but for you, Stranger, we'll just say Main Street Franconia is awesome. It's got sidewalks and places to walk to. We lived in the deep woods growing up and we missed people. The 4th of July parade will go by here. The library is about 6 doors down. The park at the Dow is close. And there may even be hockey up the street - weather permitting!

We love the ability to walk to get coffee and a newspaper, a tool from the hardware store; to be able to pop on the freeway to wherever, yet still have the country quiet with the Gale River just across the street.

What makes this property unique

It's homey! With a lovely front porch and assigned parking, this property has simple ease of function. Cozy, it's got lots of closet space on both floors, a great washer and dryer & lovely permanent neighbors on both sides.

It's great location! Convenient to Cannon Mountain/Echo Lake (3 miles), Littleton (8 miles) and all things outdoors, this property makes the perfect basecamp.

You don't have to be outdoorsy! We're kayak and waterslide people. But if you're woods, hiking, skiing or mountain bikers, everything is nearby. And having a burbling "river" across the street feels outdoorsy! (And the bears. We do have them!)
