About this property

Idyllic Historic Village Home, Walk to Village and Bay Beach

Consider this your home away from home in Sag Harbor Village. Perfect for families and entertaining, it has everything you need for a relaxing summer respite.

You’ll find comfort and sophistication in this historic, contemporary home. Filled with natural light, you’re nestled away from the street and situated in nature, so even though you’re in town it’s easy to forget with the flora and fauna surrounding you.

With 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 half baths, and a private outdoor shower, you’ll also find an impeccably maintained rear lawn big enough to picnic and run around in, a hammock perfect for napping and staring at the sky, a heated salt pool, a spacious outdoor dining area, and a back deck connected to the kitchen, perfect for taking in the morning.

The main floor features a freshly remodeled state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen with marble counters, a center island with stools, and a cozy breakfast nook that seats up to 6. Alongside is the dining room that seats up to 10, laundry, and the living room with a gorgeous fireplace, flat screen TV, bay window seat, and built in bookcases filled with a photographic library framing a Steinway piano. The living room opens onto an enclosed front sitting porch (perfect for reading). A half bath with pocket door and a light-filled playroom for the littles - stocked with toys and books for hours of creative play - complete the first floor.

The second floor includes a primary suite with queen bed, sitting area and ensuite bath with glass-enclosed shower. Connected but still private is a bedroom perfect for children with three twin beds (one trundle bed; toddler bed or crib available if needed), and a well-stocked children's library and toy collection. A third, sunny bedroom has a full size bed and antique desk. A separate full bath accessible from the hallway rounds out the second floor.

The third floor features a huge room with 2 twin beds (can be pushed together to make a king), a Mid-century modern daybed, a desk and a private half bath. The wall to wall carpeting, peaked roof, and historic windows make it feel like a special, secret space—it’s a favorite with teens, guests with infants or those in need of a quiet office space.

A *rare* find in Sag Harbor Village - Enjoy your home away from home as you relax in the pool, take walks around the corner to fabulous local eatery Harbor Market, hang out and play on the lawn, entertain and dine al fresco (the outdoor table sits 14 comfortably!) surrounded by twinkling lights, wisteria vine, cedar, and slate.

The property is situated in a perfect location—a few blocks from Havens Beach as well as a short stroll (862 steps if you’re counting!) to cinema and shopping on Main Street. Picking up your friends and family from the city? It’s only a 10-minute walk to the Sag Harbor Jitney stop and a 12-minute drive to the Bridgehampton train station. Driving out? There is off-street parking for 3-4 cars.

Soon you’ll be at the beach, napping in a backyard hammock, making an incredible dinner, discovering restaurants, shops, and more in our historic village. Welcome home!

I'm from a small town in the south, while my husband is from NYC. We love how private our property can feel while simultaneously being such an easy walk to the village shops, restaurants and community.

Why they chose this property

We both work in the arts, and love how Sag Harbor truly embraces local creatives in all fields. And with Sag Harbor being centrally located, it's easy to visit the local galleries, sculpture gardens, museums and cultural spaces throughout South and Easthampton! As a family with young children, we also frequent the numerous local parks, beaches and community spaces of the East End.

What makes this property unique

Our home is a unique village find as our backyard is quite spacious for a village property.
