About this property

New Forest Luxury Cottage on a private estate. 2 bedroom. Hot tub.

RELAX IN A LUXURY SELF CATERING COTTAGE IN THE NEW FOREST, HAMPSHIRE. Magnolia Cottage is a cozy and charming luxury holiday cottage in the New Forest, ideal for a romantic getaway or a fun break with a few friends. Our cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 terraces: one to enjoy the sun all day and one to watch it set. A complimentary welcome hamper will be waiting for you on your arrival, containing milk, bread, butter, eggs, juice, wine, and other essentials to make a light snack or breakfast. Some items may vary depending on the region. Magnolia Cottage offers a unique and beautifully furnished luxury accommodation for four guests. The ground floor has an open plan layout, divided into two levels, with a well equipped kitchen, a dining area and a comfortable sitting room. French doors lead to the outdoor patio and garden, which is perfect for al-fresco dining. Upstairs, you will find two lovely en-suite bedrooms with zip and link beds, which can be arranged as double or single beds according to your preference. Our cottage is one of two holiday homes set within the grounds of Heathfield Estate, located in Holmsley and enjoying a unique position. You can explore and discover the beauty of the New Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its country pubs and many activities such as walking, cycling and horse riding. You can also enjoy the blue flag beaches, coastal walks, crabbing, sailing and many other water sports. Treat yourself to a modern and comfortable environment, secluded and private but not isolated - ideally placed for exploring the area.

The New Forest National Park is one of the largest remaining forests in England. The forest was created by William I in about 1079 for the royal hunt. He and his successors hunted the deer that still live in the forest. They are shy creatures but you might be lucky enough to spot one around Heathfield. Wild ponies and donkeys roam the open heath in the New Forest area. The ponies are one of our best-loved native breeds, it is their grazing that maintains the open character of the forest. The New Forest is famous for its ancient trees. You can see beech trees that are 400 years old, oaks that are 800 years old, and even some yew trees that are said to be 1000 years old, that were here when William I and his descendants used the forest for hunting.

Magnolia Cottage is a delightful luxury self catering cottage in the New Forest, surrounded by 14 acres of landscaped grounds. Close to the sea and many charming local villages and towns, a country retreat that makes the most of every season. Magnolia Cottage is one of two enchanting properties available on the Heathfield Estate. Whether you’re looking for a small family holiday or a memorable weekend, Heathfield Estate has plenty to offer. Collectively or individually the two properties can host between 4 to 12 guests. We can help you with planning your stay. Whether it’s a recommendation for the best country pub or helping make a milestone celebration truly memorable, getting the local butcher to prep food for a BBQ, or arranging full butler service and exquisite taster menu for 12. We are in the southwest part of the New Forest and are only 10 min from the coast where Chewton Glen Hotel is nearby as are some great restaurants. New Milton is the nearest train station. Lots of local forest trails to walk nearby.

For larger groups, take a look at our luxury Coach House which can sleep eight guests, which can be booked separately or together with the Cottage.
