Xochitepec

The Mexican municipality of Xochitepec is located in the west of the state of Morelos at an altitude of 1,109 meters above sea level. It borders to the north with Temixco, to the south with Puente de Ixtla, to the east with Emiliano Zapata and Tlaltizapán and to the west with Miacatlán. The total area of ​​Xochitepec is 99.13 square kilometers.

The name Xōchitepēc 'on the flowery hill' comes from the words of the Nahuatl language, xōchi- 'flower', tepē- 'hill' and -c 'on'.
