Here are a few common questions and answers that will help you decide if the FireFly is a good fit for your mountain getaway.

Is FireFly a good place for children?

The Firefly is child-friendly! The downstairs is an open concept living space so everyone can be in on the action. The loft is the perfect place for the little ones to enjoy the view and play our home arcade game. It features Frogger, Donkey Kong, and Mrs. Pacman, and all the classics! Please note we do have a stone fireplace (see pictures) and the cabin is not childproof.

Can we cook at The FireFly?

Yes! You'll love the flexibility of being able to go out to eat or stay in and cook. Our kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, plates, glassware, utensils. If you're unsure about what we might have, ask us. The FireFly features a gas stove and oven as well as a microwave so you'll have everything you need to show off your culinary talents.

Is the fireplace functional?

Oh yes! It'll keep you warm on the coldest of nights. Grab some firewood from a local gas station or grocery store (you can find it just about anywhere), and enjoy a game night in front of the fire.

Should I bring linens or towels?

Nobody wants to travel with their sheets and pillowcases. Our linens will rival any hotel and our cleaning crew will take care of everything when you leave. We provide linens for all of the super comfy bamboo memory foam beds. We ensure EVERY piece of bedding is washed before your visit. We'll also make sure there are plenty of ultra-soft towels for everyone.

What's the television/movie situation?

TV is optional in Big Bear, but you won't miss anything on our 4k HD Roku T.V. Want to watch a movie? Log into any of your apps. Looking for a cable? Click on the YoutubeTV app and enjoy. We have plenty of entertainment for relaxing after a day on the trails or slopes.

What kind of experience can my pet expect?

We love well-behaved dogs, and we understand how hard it can be to travel when you have to leave your furry friend at home. Please Do Not allow your dog on the couches. The cabin is filled with brand-new furnishings for you to enjoy. If there is damage a fee will be assessed. Please help us keep the FireFly dog-friendly.

As far as activities are concerned we'd recommend you check out some of the hiking trails a few blocks from the cabin. Or hit the Alpine Pedal Path, and take a nice walk around the lake.
You are sure to tire out the most athletic pups. We do not allow cats.

If you're interested in booking, but haven't quite made up your mind contact us for more information.

Highway Patrol may stop you, at any time, to confirm they are in your vehicle. Vehicles with 4-wheel drive also need to carry chains. Chains generally can be purchased in town. If you have any questions about the road conditions, or whether or not chains are required, the best number to call would be The Big Bear Road and Snow line at (909) 866-ROAD (7623).
