About this property

Completely renovated 1930s Cottage on the Guadalupe River. Ideal location!

Location, Location, Location!

Book this darling cottage and listen to the sounds of Guadalupe River roll by. This 2 bedroom/1 bath home has everything you need to make a great getaway; EVERYTHING is new with the exception of the original floors, fireplace & roof!
Brand new appliances in the kitchen, a great dining room, a large living room, and a huge screened-in porch, sit just above the Guadalupe River. Two separate, comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen bed, are decorated with local art and have 100% cotton bedding. A large bathroom with shower/tub combo. A full laundry room is located downstairs. And again, the huge screened-in porch is the absolute best: with additional dining space and sitting areas.

Outside, you are steps away from the Guadalupe, enjoy our fire-pit and bbq gas grill (propane included). We provide all the items needed (besides food/drinks) to enjoy the perfect getaway. Not up for cooking? No problem! We're less than 15 miles from Gruene, TX! Downtown New Braunfels is just a little further and has plenty of restaurants, bars, and entertaining venues.

(Camp) Milagro also houses "The Cabins at Camp Milagro" (another rental, sleeping up to 12) and the "A-frame" (home to the owners) on a total of 90 acres. Both "The Cabins" and "A-frame" are located on different parts of the acreage - so you'll have plenty of privacy - (a map will be provided). We have lots of space for you to hike and explore, so bring some good shoes!

Milagro has 1/3 mile of private frontage to the Guadalupe River. Grab a chair or a tube, a cool drink, and get ready to relax! We are just a quick walk/drive to the nearest river outfitter where you can rent tubes or kayaks and be taken upriver to float back down to us! We have plenty of riverbank space to throw in a pole and try your luck with fishing.

If interested in floating the Comal River, you can drive or contact other outfitters in Gruene or New Braunfels.

Ever been to the world's greatest waterpark? Schlitterbahn is located 8 miles away and is a "bucket list" for all ages! Besides Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels has a wonderful German history! Visit Krause's Cafe for its German feel with live music, great food, and LOTS of beer from its Bierhalle. The city of New Braunfels has plenty of options for shopping, eating, drinking and great times.

Gruene, TX is within 5 miles and a perfect way to spend a day or evening. Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas, is a Must-Do (perfect for photo-ops!). Try the Gristmill for great authentic Texas food. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. You won't regret a visit to Gruene!

Canyon Lake (15 miles away) is an absolute beauty! Highly suggest packing a lunch, renting a pontoon, and enjoying lake life for an afternoon!

There's plenty to do! Come play and explore!

Absolutely perfect!
Everything about this property was perfect. The pictures do not do it justice. Gated entrance, private river access close to the water, and beautiful location. Just set your stuff up at the river and leave it until you go home. The cottage was unbelievable. Outdoor grilling area downstairs overlooking the river, and a screened in porch upstairs. The interior was amazing with the original wood floors and unique decor. Everything was thought of. Comfortable beds, nice linens, extra blankets, and super clean. We really only needed food, ice, and clothes. The owners were truly great and made sure we had everything we needed. This is by far the best property we’ve ever rented for a vacation. We cannot wait to go back! Just book it!

Perfect Getaway
What a charming house! The host went above and beyond to accommodate our needs! We’ll definitely be back when it’s a tad cooler to enjoy the fire pit and enjoy the sound of the river! The location is perfect to go visit Gruene or Canyon lake for a day trip!

Originally from Houston, we are blessed to now call New Braunfels our home! We love sharing our little peace of paradise with others - our 90 acres is preciously called "Milagro" (miracle, in Spanish). Our property has 1/3 mile of frontage to the Guadalupe River - where we have clear water - perfect for tubing, fishing or just relaxing.

Why they chose this property

The Texas Hill Country is truly magical with year-round wonderment:
Winter: for the cold & quiet: perfect for sitting around the fire pit and enjoying life. Just like camping, only better!
Spring: ideal for enjoying the fireflies, enjoying the greenery and new blooms of the season - and still perfect for being by the fire pit on chilly nights!
Summer: our busiest time of year... when everyone is looking to cool down in the Guadalupe with a cool drink and ready for fun!
Fall: Oh, the greens start turning the hundreds shades of red, browns and the feel of a little autumn in the air.

Any time is a good time to visit Milagro!

What makes this property unique

90 acres of Texas Hill Country - there's nothing like it. With hills, hiking is a joy! Enjoy views for miles & miles; the beauty is truly something to see for yourself.... and then it ends down below at the wonderful Guadalupe River. We have the best of it all!
