Two-Bed Cabin – Breathtaking Fjord View, Summit House.

Relax in our fully off-grid cabin. This private, self-contained cabin at our 200-acres Summit House property is comfortably and beautifully appointed, giving guests an exclusive retreat overlooking the scenic Saanich Inlet fjord. Just 20-minutes outside Victoria and island wineries, near the Malahat Skywalk.

Cabin guests enjoy relaxing on the cabin patio, hikes in our private forest with 1-km of oceanfront, simply use the cabin as a base to experience Malahat and Cowichan Valley surrounds!

The cabin is self-contained, but close by to support from Summit House owners. It has own private entrance and outdoor spaces for dining, barbequing and quiet relaxing. It also has a three-piece bathroom, king sized bedroom , single bedroom and an open plan kitchen living room.

As a courtesy to owners and other guests at Summit House, parties are not permitted.

Located in Mill Bay, this cottage is in a rural area and on the waterfront. Hatley Park National Historic Site and Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Park are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Mill Bay Ferry Terminal and Mill Bay Terminal. Langford Lanes and All Fun Recreation Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Both originally Irish, Frank and Sheila have called Vancouver Island home for nearly 40 years. A large part of that time has been spent operating businesses in the hospitality industry where they have had the opportunity to connect with interesting people from around the world, and to showcase their beloved new island home. Frank loves history, including local lore, and Sheila is an accomplished musician.

Why they chose this property

Malahat is a small community in the Cowichan Valley, surrounded by lush nature and stunning views of the Saanich Inlet. The Malahat mountain summit is considered one of the most sacred sites on southern Vancouver Island, with one of the best summer micro climates on the island.
