About Harvey Crable
We have lived in Northwest Minnesota for the pass 12 years. We are semi-retired and enjoy outdoor activities. We shopped the Park Rapids area for a lake home and immediately selected this property on Long Lake.
Harvey Crable purchased this House in 2010
Why Harvey Crable chose Park Rapids
We picked this property because of the quality of the property and the great area. The Park Rapids area is a great vacation destination, it has the cleanest, clearest lakes and great state parks. When the opportunity came up to purchase this special cabin at Edgewood Resort, we couldn't resist. It is the perfect spot to get away and now that I have grandchildern to spend time here, it has brought our life full circle.

This was the perfect location for our vacation. We had 8 kids, all under the age of 4 staying with us. We were able to spread everyone out enough that the kids slept well during the night. It felt cozy. Would definitely return!
Great location, plenty of room
We all had a wonderful time. Lots of beds.
Wonderful for large families
First thing to note is that you must bring your own towels, washcloths and kitchen linens, along with tissues and bathroom products. Provided is garbage bags, bed linens, paper towels, dish soap, and toilet paper. Walmart is 3.1 miles away if you need a quick run for anything that you forgot. The layout for the house is on the ground floor there is a family room, full bath and three bedrooms, each with queen mattresses and sinks in each bedroom. There is a patio with grill and fire pit on this level. The middle level has a full and modern kitchen, a living room and a 3/4 bath with a beautifully furnished deck. The kitchen has both a range and a built in oven, along with a nice microwave, coffee maker and Kurig (bring your own cups). There were plenty of dishes, pots and pans and flatware. Bring a griddle with if you wish to make pancakes. The top level has a loft combination sitting/sleeping area, a full bathroom and a queen bedroom with a sink. The location is lovely with two sand beaches, a playground, shuffle board court and horseshoe pits within a very short walk through the wooded and landscaped property. We were able to rent a pontoon through the owner. There are two water bicycles for use as well. We found that contacting the owner through VRBO did not always get a response. However Harvey always answered his phone and was wonderful to work with. Note that instead of the normal lockbox/keypad combo, he met us at checkin and gave us a wonderful tour of the property. Normal check out time is 9 AM, not the 11 AM listed on the VRBO ad. We were there with 4 generations, a total of 10 people and there was plenty of space.
Beautiful Large Cabin
We loved our stay at the Moose on Long Lake. We had so much fun with all the paddle boards, water bikes, and the lilly pad. The sandy beach was awesome. The patio and the two decks provided a great area for our family get together. The children loved the loft area. With the fishing, tubing, and water skiing...our family had a great time! The cabin was large and beautiful!
The house was nice. It was a little dirty. There were no towels or garbage bags included with the stay which was tough as we were traveling in from out of state.
Loved our home away from home!
We had 11 of us and it was perfect to have the loft area for the kids and the adults downstairs. Having 3 bathrooms was wonderful! The deck was so nice to relax on anytime of the day! Cindy was great getting us anything we needed. Thanks for a wonderful long Labor Day weekend! It went way too fast though!
