The town was a stronghold for MauMau freedom fighters during Kenya's independence as such the town has a lot of historical sites where you can learn more about the Kenyan culture.

This picturesque town is renowned for its lush green tea farms, a testament to its enduring legacy as a vital hub in the country's tea industry. The landscape is adorned with amazing and numerous waterfalls, each cascading gracefully amidst the rolling hills and dense forests.

Many of these natural wonders are featured in the house manual provided, allowing guests to explore and connect with the area's pristine beauty.
