About this property

Treetop Hideaways: The Redbud Treehouse

Summary:
Treetop Hideaways at Ruby Falls provides a boutique treehouse retreat experience. With just the right combination of childhood nostalgia, rustic charm, playful creativity, and luxurious lodging, you can experience the enchantment of nature without sacrificing modern comforts. Nestled among the mossy boulders and towering trees atop Lookout Mountain, our treehouses boast full climate control, comfortable bedding, a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. Come and experience this exceptional adventure!

The Space:
The Redbud Treehouse was built with care, inspiring the best memories of exploring old barns, hayloft adventures, and blanket forts. Every part of this treehouse has a story, from the rough sawn barnwood oak and reclaimed tin ceilings and trim, to the quilt curtains, 1900s phonograph record player, and the wrought iron fence railing in the loft.

As you approach this treehouse, the RUBY FALLS barn painting mural greets you, and the quilt pendant curtains peeking through the windows give you a glimpse of the style of the place. Two gigantic oak trees support the front of this treehouse, and the flowering Redbud tree canopies push tight against the railing of the deck, framing the spectacular view of the misty valley below, the wide bend of the Tennessee River, and the distant mountains beyond.

Entering the Redbud you will find two rocking chairs framing a wall of reclaimed windows with a sumptuous leather couch that opens into a comfortable memory foam mattress queen bed. A fully stocked kitchenette highlights a hammered copper sink on a beautifully figured black walnut countertop with pour over artisanal coffee and tea making supplies, a water boiler, and locally made granola bars. Underneath is a fridge with filtered and sparkling water, a microwave, and a picnic basket stocked with compostable cups, dishes, and utensils. A barn door along the hall opens to a closet stocked with essentials including extra supplies, bath robes, an umbrella and a steamer iron. The loft has a tall carved oak queen bed, a working 1900’s phonograph, large skylights, and an antique quilt hung as a privacy curtain, creating a wonderful blanket fort feel when closed.

The bathroom features a custom vanity with a garden statue sink faucet, complete with a moss covered birdbath sink, a hovering “egg” toilet, reclaimed slate, and exposed copper plumbing for an indoor rain head shower! Locally made artisanal hand soap, shampoo, and body wash are provided in a custom Treetop Hideaways rosemary mint scent, along with 100% cotton towels and washcloths. Heading outside, you will find a soaking tub hidden in a nook of the wrap around deck, and a patio table with seating for four. Below the treehouse is a Titan Smokeless Fire Pit stocked with wood, charcoal, fire starters, grilling and s’more supplies, with two chairs and additional stone bench seating.

Break open your complimentary bottle of wine and turn on the record player as your campfire gets going and the sunset glows below you from your vantage point in the trees. Enjoy the perfect combination of childhood nostalgia, playful creativity, and luxurious lodging at this Treetop Hideaways treehouse retreat.
Your adventure awaits!
