About this property

Lexington 4BR 1927 Farmhouse! Great location along route 2A close to Cambridge

Eccletric, uniquely decorated 1927 Farmhouse in Lexington located a very short walk to Arlington Reservoir, Whipple Hill Conservation area and the Great Meadows, and conveniently located along route 2A for access to everything Boston has to offer including Harvard University, MIT, Boston College and 60 other local colleges.

You will love the recently very well equipped & remodeled kitchen with Brazilian slate countertops and high end appliances and original turn of the century early carpentry throughout.

Lexington is one of Boston's premier suburbs with rich history and many interesting landmarks from the American Revolutionary War including the Minuteman statue, Paul Revere Road, The Battle Green, and the Hancock Clark house, just a few minutes drive away. The house is located just a few minutes walk from 3 nature areas - Arlington Reservoir with a walking path around the lake and (Paid) swimming in the summer, The Great Meadows conservation area for great hiking and wildlife viewing, and the Whipple Hill conservation area featuring a wooded area for hiking and even geocaching (think treasure hunting via phone) for the kids.

The house features two ping pong tables (1 Regulation and 1 Junior), a full back yard and zen garden, washer and dryer (Free), and lots of shade and mature trees. Free driveway parking for up to 3 cars. Lots of room to spread out on a large leather sectional, dining room, office desk and sitting room featuring a few chairs. There is even a work/hobby room with tools for projects complete with mini-frig in the basement.

Please note that there are some personal belongings & items in the house including books and pictures and items from all over the world, especially stored in the basement, as we do use the house as a 2nd home (2nd generation family home in the family for 50+ years). It is also located on a busier street with some car noise - we have equipped the front bedrooms with a white noise maker and 3 pane windows to lessen the affect on light sleepers.

While we don't have any current reviews on VRBO, we have a solid short term rental history and stellar reviews elsewhere and strive to provide great stays for our guests as super hosts.

Please, no smoking in and around the property and no parties.
